I can't really come up with a Technic/Tekkit oriented use for the command block though. In adventure maps, I'd rather have mechanical solutions to things like triggered events. But making text appear in the chat would be a lot more useful. (Could have a lot more dynamic NPCs, for instance) And books. Yes, our server will have a public library. Maybe an ASCII pornography section too (not my idea).

The best servers are run by people who care and cater for their playerbase first, and then accept money on appreciation of the good job they've done. Having to pay for things like grief protection, and whining for more cash/pay to play is usually by admins who don't really give a rat's arse. Conversely, if the admins genuinely need the money for just month by month maintenance, then perhaps a rethink is required. Receiving donations is a privilege, not an accessory to dish out rewards and power. Just have a look round, and you will always find the right server. Don't just feel the need to stick around because you've already got a house, it's the staff and people on servers that matter more.

While that is true, your idea is pretty cool. To the mod request forum! As for everyone else, can't we agree to disagree that EE2 will never be removed from the pack? People can play the game how they damn want. And if server owners find it a problem (like me), then they can consult their playerbase and have it removed if necessary. As for EE3, if it is found to be of enough of a standard (as if it could ever be anything else), then we'll see that in the pack instead. Stop whining, people. Moogle out.

What actually needs to come from this first is FTL communications. The money NASA would get from selling that to large businesses, would allow them to send the entirety of Hawaii to Alpha Centauri and back.

I think you should discuss this with your fellow players. I actually set up a gigantic transport hub, constantly receiving goods from factories spread across the map, and sending them to other players automatically. You know, that town over there wants scrap and wood, so the scrap and wood train gets diverted down line 'H' etc.

A while back, I was on a server that did a round of plugin installs. A similar thing happened, but this time the entire ore dictionary got twisted up. The amount of iron I put into furnaces to make easy tungsten... So perhaps one of your new plugins (looking at you BOSEconomy) has messed up some of the block IDs.

I think by 'most' he means the three servers he has ever visited. EE being overpowered is only a matter of how you use it. Most of my factories wouldn't function without supplies of redstone and bonemeal (glowstone I use turtles to collect now ) But yes, I would say it's exploitable more than simply overpowered. I've also pretty much entirely given up on BuildCraft. While Logistics Pipes are really powerful, they aren't in Tekkit, so RedPower comes an easy second place. It's way more versatile, and a lot less stressful on the system. They also look cooler, but that's entirely subjective.
