  1. Tekkit 3.1.3 for Minecraft 1.2.5 is the latest version. You'll know when an update is available.
  2. I'm pretty sure the Tekkit team is already aware of this. They're doing their best.
  3. Done the survey. I'll post some of my answers here for the forum. 1) I usually don't mind lag spikes, but constant lag is a big no-no. 2) I only play on 24/7 servers. If I can't log in once, that's fine, I know Tekkit isn't perfect, but after two or three times of not being able to play on a server where I have all my stuff in, I switch servers. 3) Abusive staff is a deal breaker. If admins are allowed to play, then it should be made abundantly clear what kind of powers they have. If can spawn items and teleport at will then they should not be able to interact with other players at all. Things like an admin giving a diamond to a noob out of the kindness of his heart should not be seen on these servers, ever. Also, there has to be a clear set of rules, moderators to enforce those rules, and admins to keep the moderators in line. Preferably, any admin intervention/spionage should be silent (vanish plugin). EE has no place in a survival server. You should disable or cripple UU matter as well. Either that or extend your recycler blacklist to prevent mass scrap production using cobble factories.
  4. Got a BukkitDev page or something to show feedback? This could make my computer explode for all I know.
  5. HTTP API is kinda useless unless you have your own web server with a custom program to handle CC requests. You can't really write a web browser in Lua. Not in this century anyways; most websites use stuff like Java and Flash for a lot of the content. Would be fun to see an IRC interface written in PHP specifically for cross-server ComputerCraft chatting...
  6. "One of the glitchiest SMP mods in the pack" is giving it way too much credit. It doesn't work at all. Well, at least not the computer interface. You can still check the sensors directly via the control block. I didn't know about the crashes. Someone should really look into this. it's a shame because this mod would be really useful for a lot of people.
  7. Get a .mc (Monaco) domain for Minecraft or .tk (Tokelau Island) domain for Tekkit, like a baw55. You wrote your name at the end of your post. Moderators are allergic to this so it's against the forum rules.
  8. What about the rest of us mortals who don't have all the cool Java decompilers and tools installed? Can you upload your patches? This is what I'm getting right now. Very useful thread, btw. Many diamonds iridium ores to you!
  9. Mojang's login servers are screwed today. Everyone's getting these errors except during certain window times.
  10. Does anyone know whether Tekkit team planning to fix this? Clearly nobody with a large public server can update now without resetting the entire world. Sure you can do what @jfmoots said but you can't possibly find every Nuclear Control item in the world. Whenever a player with these items at their base logs on, they will fall endlessly and not be able to play.
  11. Yeah, Vanish is very helpful. Orebfuscator doesn't work well. Previous versions had option to add custom blocks but the new ones don't, so for example if you have a pipe with stone behind it, the stone will show up as random ores. I will look TekkitCustomizer up, thanks. What do you mean by good configured NCP? The only way to enable jetpack/qjump is by completely disabling the fly/speed checks... although now that you say it, it can help with the 1000-blocks-per-second runs that cause crashes, so you maybe onto something. :)
  12. Is there any known way to stop hacking in Tekkit? As far as I know, both NoCheat and Orebfuscator cause more problems than they're worth. Is there anything to do at all besides sitting with a client open 24/7 and randomly spying on people? There are too many people with fly hacks, speed hacks, xray, etc nowadays. Speed hacks at full speed can even crash a server, easily.
