Warning - turns out Dimensional Doors isn't compatible with BukkitForge. So don't waste materials building inside pocket dimensions because it will be deleted on server restart. Until I find a fix to this, at least.

Both server and client take more than twice as long to load as both Tekkit Classic and Tekkit Lite. Is there a logical explanation to this other than modded Minecraft generally being a huge mess of software mashed together? Just wondering.

You guys misunderstand. I didn't want any help. I want to play on a server WITH MystCraft. The moment I realized that wasn't available on your server I didn't feel the need to behave anymore

I was having fun on the server until I tried to use dimensional doors. Towny won't let me build inside pocket dimensions because it says it's not configured on that world. I'm going to assume Mystcraft worlds will have the same problem. Please resolve this, and reply to this thread if and when you do and I will happily return.

I applaud you. This is very true for the majority of servers, vanilla and modded alike. It's hard to find a good server without admins who claim to play legit but then think it's fine to build their homes out of spawned diamond blocks.

And I'm the queen of England. We never talk about dupe glitches on these forums. Even if you honestly don't plan on exploiting it, other people who read this thread might.

I'm not completely sure about this but I think they removed the tags feature starting with the 1.7 branch. Now you need an external plugin to hook into Factions to retrieve tag names. They recommend HeroChat, so try that.

<rant> No offense to mod authors, but I don't give a rat's ass about permission. If I wanted to make a public modpack with every mod in the gallery, I would. I don't see why other people care so much. They can't sue for it. They probably won't protest. The Forestry trojan was an isolated incident and is unlikely to happen again. I personally stick to solar. Water is the only other 'infinite' source so use either of those. Then I always have a nuclear reactor standing by for when my MFSU's get too low. Of course you won't need that after you reach HVSA level.

Why have ICBM with griefing banned?

I wanted to make a Tekkit Lite server back in 0.5.2, but I decided not to because of two majorly game breaking bugs: Only one forcefield can be active at a time IC2 machine textures show on the wrong side So now I'm wondering if these bugs have been fixed, and if any other annoying bugs have been introduced. This is the main reason I don't host a TL server. I wanted forcefields to be the primary line of defense against griefers, but nope.

They have to re-make the clients to work with Tekkit, though. One would think the more advanced hacking clients could have compatibility issues since a lot of things are changed in Tekkit. Or am I wrong?

Turtles are by far my favorite griefing tool. You can use them to break buildings block by block, cover buildings in hard materials like obsidian and reinforced stone, and even make gigantic cobblestone mountains with only a few stacks of water and lava (which are easily obtained via UU matter). There was a period in Tekkit Classic where turtles could PLACE blocks in protected areas, but not break blocks. I would find small holes in people's bases, guide my turtle to the hole remotely through a stationary computer, and plant nukes inside. Not to mention you can make fun and realistic aerial attacks. Fly several turtles packing stacks of TNT (again, UU matter) in triangle formation over a defenseless village of wooden houses. The planes drop visible strings of TNT as I sit on a mountain nearby laughing at its inhabitants as they hopelessly try to pillar up and destroy the invaders before their homes became replaced by a long and wide artificial ravine. Every pilot made it safely to the rendezvous point that day. They were safely packed into an ender chest which was then automatically destroyed with a block breaker and TNT so there would be no evidence of them ever landing there. This was by far the most fun I've ever had with Minecraft. Moral of the story: it's okay to grief when you do it with style. Mod Edit: You also hosted it straight off tumblr. Don't do that.
