Your download URL is not direct. Copy.com public share URLs must be appended with "?download=1" to be direct and function properly with the Launcher. The bin folder should contain one file, and that being "modpack.jar". The modpack.jar file is simply the Forge universal binary JAR file renamed to modpack.jar. You should be using the latest version of Chisel 2: http://www.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/225236-chisel-2 You have the file "MDK-1.7.10-7.1.1.127.zip" in your mods folder. This file is only used by mod developers and should not be in your modpack. If you are trying to add Mekanism, download that from the author's website (the three files other than the MDK): http://aidancbrady.com/mekanism/download/ Fix those issues and come back if you still have troubles.

Is there a similar modpack to what I want or a request website?
plowmanplow replied to WhyteWynd's topic in Platform Pagoda
I do not require attribution, but if you are inclined, something like "Assembled by PlowmanPlow" would be fine. -
Try a different browser? Especially when not using Solder, the system has very high reliability for me.

When I click on that link, from at least three totally different locations, it works just fine. -
Without your modpack API URL (the URL you paste into the Launcher to add a pack) we cannot help you.

The keep looks great. There have been some great builds over the past 16 months. -

Merry Christmas: https://copy.com/IeIsqejll9d98gaw?download=1 -
Or, more accurately: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/yvc23b6zrt2rc72/modpack.zip Which has worked, unchanged, for quite some time.

Kalb: for a short while, kinda, sorta. Then, as of yesterday, I suspect they are gone for good. It's heartwarming to hear "waaah, I'm taking my toys and going home" (not referring to anyone in the Cauldron community).

Try removing Optifine. It is notoriously sketchy on Forge/MC 1.7.2. What do you mean by Forge not installing correctly? Are you trying to make a modpack?

You need to have your friend update to the latest version of Java 7 for his platform, and use the 64bit edition if possible.
-
Make sure you are using the latest version of Java 7 for your platform and always use the 64bit edition if possible.
-
Without any error logs, crash reports, system specs, Java versions, etc. it will be impossible to help you.
-
Looks decent. Have to see how the transition goes from an existing installation.
-
You have 32bit Java installed. If you have a 64bit OS you should install 64bit Java 7 which will open up more options for memory allocation in the launcher. If you have a 32bit OS you are out of luck.

You can alter your AM2 config file thusly: enchantments { I:magic_resist=120 I:soulbound=124 } Should fix the enchantment ID conflict. Also: Your BetterDungeons/ChocolateQuest mod is not installed correctly. Open the ZIP file and follow the instructions.

Your modpack.jar file is named "Modpack.jar". It should be all lower case (yes, this matters): modpack.jar Your mods folder is named Mods. It should be all lower case. You should not include the modsVoxelMods folder with your pack. You will overwrite client configurations every time you update. Your ChickenBones mods are out of date. Get the latest 1.6.4 versions from the author: http://chickenbones.net/Pages/links.html CoFHCore and ThermalExpansion provide flat bedrock functionality. You do not need to include a mod specifically for that feature. You have a CodeChickenLib JAR file in your mods folder and in your mods1.6.4 folder. This is bad. Place the most recent verison into the mods1.6.4 folder and remove all others. Sword Pedestal mod is for a much older version of Forge/MC and will not work in 1.6.4. Maybe BiblioCraft (with tool racks and display cases) might be a good alternative. Fix these issues and come back if you still have troubles.

another crash re-occuring 1.6.4 custom
plowmanplow replied to soderquist1's topic in Platform Pagoda
Always provide the API URL for your custom modpack when requesting assistance. -- Entity being ticked -- Details: Entity Type: Bat (net.minecraft.entity.passive.EntityBat) Entity ID: 130241 Entity Name: Bat Entity's Exact location: 31.60, 16.10, -149.75 The implication from the crash report is that something is going off the rails with entity spawning/management. -
It's been this for a long time now: http://cauldron.minecraftforge.net/

From your ForgeModLoader-client-0.log: Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Duplicate enchantment id This post on fixing ID conflicts may help you: Opinion: (feel free to ignore) You are doing yourself a disservice by creating a 1.6.4 modpack at this stage in the game. Development in 1.6.4 has basically stalled and you will get at best a couple maintenance releases (and those only in a few mods). If you are making a new pack you would likely be better suited by creating a 1.7.10 modpack.

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen with java 1.8?
plowmanplow replied to daytimepanther's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
If you are getting an error indicating that you are out of permanent generation space then you are using Java <= 1.7. Java 1.8 removed that feature altogether and merged the resource allocation. You cannot get a permgen error with Java 1.8. However, B-Team is notoriously piggy about permgen. I've had to increase mine to 384m. -
Heh, yeah, can't argue with that

Your modpack.jar file is broken. It is in RAR instead of the required ZIP format. The modpack.jar file is simply the Forge universal binary JAR file renamed to modpack.jar. Don't mess with it at all other than that. Better Dungeons/Chocolate Quest is not installed properly. You are missing the top level Chocolate folder. Please redownload the mod and follow the instructions. Your Optifine is woefully out of date. This will likely cause problems. IDFixMinus is not intended to be distributed with a modpack. You should use it to fix your ID conflicts then remove it before assembling your modpack archive. Fix these issues and come back if you still have troubles.
-
Please provide the contents of the box labeled "Modpack Location" from the settings page of your modpack.

This pack will not show in the modpack index until it is properly configured. Either set a URL for a zip or configure Solder. Your download URL is invalid.
