  1. The old style ones where if you didn't specify anything it just generated nothing but the page temples. Made finding pages a breeze I can tell you that lol. Outside of that, multiple colors of decay are always fun to watch.
  2. Why is this not just a PM instead of an entire thread? It's directed at only one person. You could have also just put it in the stickied v1.1.9 thread above as it's related.
  3. Connect any number of DSU's to individual storage buses set to only accept one type of item (DSU's can only take one type of item) and give them a priority of 64. Then attach an precision export bus set to always active and stack pull to an ender chest. You can then use pouch ender pouch to send stuff to sorting if you want. Attach an Item tesseract to the ender chest set to receive only and anything sent to that tesseract will then sent into the chest and from there your ME network. Voila, instant and (relatively) painless sorting of items.
  4. I really, really miss UU-matter. More than the faster machines or convenient power, that's what I miss most from IC2. Minium stones can only do so much, at least until EE3 is updated *fingers crossed*
  5. Well nuts. I was afraid of that. Oh well. I have a lovely viewing area for them then.
  6. Actually REC's can take in more than 100 MJ/t per face if you hook the REC directly up to a tesseract/power source that can pump greater than 100 MJ/t. It's only output that stymies them. I ran timing tests with tesseracts and confirmed this. Conduits may or may not have an input bottleneck when hooked to an REC though.
  7. Liquiducts can transfer 100 mB/t (multimeter says that anyway). They can hold variable amounts of fluid depending on what's being stored, with the default being 500 mB.
  8. Will a dimensional anchor/chunk loader suffice to keep these active?
  9. Compact solar arrays are expensive to manufacture though and they just saved space. I don't consider them unbalanced by any stretch of the imagination in that regard. I'm at the point now where I might as well be playing creative. My experimentation with atomic science is more a matter of efficient design rather than pressing power need. It would take at least 5 HV arrays to equal the output of my one reactor and I guarantee they would require more materials. However, to each their own. My point about the machines was that MFR has practically zero configuration options since it will readily spit things out from wherever. MFR and TE have more in common with each other than MFR and IC2.
  10. IC2 has a couple of unique machines and a fair number of tools you can't get elsewhere, in addition to the awesomeness that is compact solar arrays. The compressor is nice and when combined with a macerator was a great way to multiply certus quartz (without compressors you have no way to make certus quartz crystals, only dust). The recycler and mass fabricator combination are amazing for UU-matter generation. Plus it has the laser drill which is pretty boss, if exceptionally dangerous in a PvP enabled server. Lastly (that I can think of anyway) it has construction foam which is a paintable construction material. On the flipside of all that it has the quantum armor, quite possibly the most ridiculous armor of any mod I've ever seen. Where a fully shielded power suit renders you almost invincible, quantum armor actually makes you invincible. It's a cause of much grief and irritation for people and the primary reason a lot of folks are happy to see the mod go.
  11. I think you have your mods confused. Thermal Expansion is the mod with configurable machine faces, which are indeed quite awesome (although still nowhere near as fast as comparable IC2 machines). MFR and IC2 are almost entirely separate mods function wise as MFR is more about automating tasks whereas IC2 is more about efficiency and power generation. AE can be used with all of these things as well. What I REALLY miss from IC2 is UU-matter. It simplified my AE crafting system enormously as I ended up with a ludicrous amount of it in the end (70K+). Minium stones are neat and all but they don't have a lot of things that UU does.
  12. First off, as Daemon said you can wrench the machines to get them back instead of losing them. Secondly, I really liked the induction furnace and rotary macerator because they were turbo fast even without overclocking. It made large scale AE MAC projects go by much faster if I didn't already have a stockpile on hand. Other than that I'd have to agree with you. I do miss having sustainable and compact power though.
  13. I had completely overlooked that, thanks. I also found the option that will spawn the rifts while i was at it heh.
  14. How do you disable the world gen for the doors? I don't see the option anywhere.
  15. Hey folks, server question. I'm reading that DimDoors is a cause for a fair amount of lag server side and seeing as how I'm not terribly attached to it (nor are any of my players) I'd like to remove it. Since I've been playing on this map for some time and have used various aspects of the mod at one point or another (nothing that needs to be kept) can I just remove the mod or do I risk world corruption doing so? If I can't do that what are my other options?
  16. The way I have production of the glowstone/ender/redstone stuff is fairly simple. I have patterns in my AE MAC for the empty versions, which are then exported automatically into a separate transposer for each liquid type. The three crucibles are also automatically fed their respective items so they always have material on hand to ship to the transposers. Then I have another pattern to make the item I want in the MAC that uses the filled items I just crafted. You could also put an ME interface next to each transposer with instructions that giving it one empty item = one filled item. You'd probably still need different transposers for each liquid to simplify things but I'm sure that could be done automatically too. Lastly, the Mindcrafters are awesome. I wish they'd move to Tekkit main.
  17. You can actually disable that pulsing animation in ME cable in the config file. I did it because it got annoying to look at after a while and I'm far too lazy to replace all my exposed cable :P
  18. Single pulse is bugged? Well damn, that sucks. I had a gate/wire setup linked to 20 REC's that when they all went empty each bank of 5 would transmit a wire signal to an autarchic gate to deliver a single energy pulse and thus feed one cell from the chest (ender chest w/ adv. wooden pipe for filtering). I was quite proud of that wiring setup too :(
  19. Edit Edit: Alright so I'm still confused. I have the autarchic gate on the adv. wooden pipe and have it set to pulse once when fed a wire signal from four REC buffer systems. However the pulse doesn't seem to work and constant pulse pulls a ton out at once. Does it have to be a redstone signal?
  20. Only the developers themselves know for sure but all indications are it's not due to the mod not being updated regularly enough. They only just recently got a version of IC2 working for v1.5.x. We likely won't see another Tekkit update until they can compile a v1.6.x version though so who knows. What specifically in IC2 were you looking for? There's a replacement for just about everything in that mod already in the pack.
  21. I believe, but am having a hard time figuring out for sure, that the minimum steam flow rate needed to generate power is 25 mB/t. When I was running power output tests one tesseract being fed 400 mB/t was power 15 turbines pretty consistently. If anyone wants to fiddle with that it'd be helpful for turbine layout.
  22. I just confirmed this. I can feed steam into a turbine from literally any direction with either ducts or tesseracts.
  23. Actually number 5 is partially incorrect. Steam can be input to any part of the underside of the LT with no loss. The key is to only have one pipe attached to it.
  24. I thought as much. I was running 80 turbines off the one frequency and all the REC's hooked to my turbines weren't dropping (all set to only output 1 less than input). You scared me for a moment lol.
