computer craft computers/turtles won't turn on
Calvariae replied to subzero22's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Probably less of a chance for it to work than that, but hell, it's not like you have anything to lose by renaming a mod folder. -
Probably equip stuff for Galacticraft.
-
Use pastebin and post the whole thing.

MPS can use Thermal expansion/BuildCraft energy just fine: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/quickly-charging-power-suit.44771/ Ninja'd

computer craft computers/turtles won't turn on
Calvariae replied to subzero22's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Try renaming 'ComputerCraft1.52.zip' in the mods folder to just 'ComputerCraft.zip'. Some people have reported this fixing the no-boot problem; then again, other people haven't had any success doing this. -
1) Please post the actual error report. The image you posted tells where to find it. 2) Have you tried backing up your old saves and just trying to open them in BigDig 1.3.4?

That's what turtles are for. And besides, the robots are too adorable - and their arms too short - to be able to do any real manual labor.

1.3.4 change log and how to migrate from 1.2.2?
Calvariae replied to gaarakenpachi's topic in Big Dig Discussion
Changelog: http://www.technicpack.net/article/view/technic-presents-renderer-improvements-for-everyone.21 http://www.technicpack.net/article/view/big-dig-132-is-now-recommended.22 http://www.technicpack.net/article/view/big-dig-134-is-now-recommended.23 To update, just let the laucher automatically do it. Backup you saves first though, and be warned: big changes for bigdig. -
You're welcome, but as of BigDig 1.3.X this is entirely wrong. Craft and Enchant is now replaced with Enchanting+, a mod I know literally nothing about. If you do update BigDig I won't be able to help you, at least not until I get around to updating (probably sometime tonight).

I'm pretty sure this is an issue with the current 1.5.2 version of Thermal Expansion. I ran into this problem when I was screwing around with making a custom modpack; the bug only affects creative mode and there's nothing you can do, afaik, short of not searching or using the TE tab in creative mode. Use NEI if you need an item. EDIT: Just noticed that you said NEI wasn't working, elaborate a bit more.

The parts that have 'Tin' in them: I don't know of any way for you to regenerate ore in already loaded chunks; you'll have to travel to new areas to find tin. Also, I'd recommend Magmatic engines if you're so set on using lava. They provide 4x the power of a similarly powered combustion engine, they don't need water, and they can't blow up from neglect.
-
Stirling engines only supply half the power a steam engine does. Easier, yes. Better, no.
-
Play tekkit classic if you want IC2, all that stuff was removed in the new tekkit. There are plenty of posts about this already.

Try this link: http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/bigdig/BigDigServer-v1.2.2.zip
-
To revert: open the launcher, click the little gear under the BigDig logo, click 'Manually Select Build, select 1.2.2 from the drop-down, click 'Reset Pack', then click 'Save. Launch BigDig and it should revert back to 1.2.2.

You could just not update.

I think she confused Tekkit and Technic; wrong section. OP, uninstall Java and install the latest version from Java.com. Check to see if you have a 64-bit OS, see the sticked thread to find out how to do that, and if you do, make sure to install the 64-bit version of Java. You might have to dig a bit to find the download link for that. Edit: I just realized there isn't a section for Yogbox bugs. You might have better luck at the Yogscast forums, more specifically the YogBox subsection.

More like IF they get updated. It would take a lot of dedication from the RP2/IC2 developers in showing that they plan on supporting their mods for the long-term before the Tekkit team would condsider adding them back in. They don't want a repeat of the last Tekkit.
-
I believe the more ram you allocate, the more CPU power is required. Considering your CPU is fairly low end, I'd recommend cutting back ram allocation to 1.5 gigs at most. Also it's probably not a good idea to assign all of your ram like that, you could end up in a situation where your page file is being accessed/used, and that means crappy performance all around.

IC2, RP2 and Mystcraft won't be in the pack any longer; their future inclusion is tentative at best. I just used the term 'drop support' to mean that a person could add them to the pack (assuming they were made compatible at some point in the future), but that any bugs related to those added mods would be ignored by the moderators/maintainers/developers.

Is the moon supposed to be DIM-28?
Calvariae replied to Kommunističeskiĭ's topic in Tekkit Discussion
The galacticraft config file has an option to change the moon's dimension - default is -28. I don't see a reason why it couldn't be changed to something else. -
Will update to Minecraft version 1.5.2, drop support for IC2, RP2 and Mystcraft, and I guess general mod updates across the board. If you haven't seen it, this thread has all the information that has been released thus far afaik. Edit: I also noticed a new post to the front page that says that a new rendering system will be implemented into the new BigDig tomorrow; I think it's suppose to allow you to see liquids behind transparent blocks.

Does Vanilla Minecraft launch and run from the Vanilla launcher? Either way, update to the latest version of Java.
-
Are you playing on Mac, if so there's already a thread on the front page of this section about this.
