I was thinking dedicated machines just for the loop. Though you could have a seperate smaller me network, handling the processing of quarries etc, that outputs into your main system. That way, any conflicts like this wouldnt be an issue. Otherwise, you could have ingots fed straight into an induction smelter, thereby negating the need to pulverize first.

Hmm the conduit shouldnt act like that. It doesnt in tekkit, ftb ultimate, mindcrack or direwolf20. The engines will continue to run, but consume very little fuel. Its designed that way. But Ive never had conduit drawing from biofuel generators when its not needed before. The universal cable draws a staggering amount of energy from a biofuel generator, enough to make a tree farm run out and stop entirely. Other on the server have reported no problems with the cable for windpower and stuff. Nobody Im aware of has them hooked up to biofuel gens though.

You could have it all done in a closed loop. Ingots get exported to a pulverizer, fed into an autocrafting table, smelted, then re-enter the me network. The same loop could be used for invar and other things as well with a bit of planning and some clever piping. Edit, just read your post again. Have it come from the pulverizer directly into the molecular assembler.

Its a good end game goal, its by no means an early game goal, unless you are going to spam nether lava or biofuel factories. 3 redstone energy cells full, netted me 9 ores. A standard sized quarry would have gone to bedrock with less than that and gathered a substantial amount of resources. But if you have lots of renewable power, especially if your chunk loaded on a server, its a great goal to apsire to. As with plenty of time and power, it will keep you supplied with materials. And you can specify which resources it produces more of, so you can leave it overnight gathering more of particular things to replenish your stocks.

Im aware that it isnt recomended, but didnt want to say wether it was a bug or not, as I dont know if its supposed to behave this way or not. Does anyone have previous experiencxe with universal cable?

Hey all, Im new to the UE mod, but after someone mentioned the universal cable being a cheaper alternative than redstone conduit, I thought I would try it out. Im using it on a 3x3 self sustaining biofuel tree farm from mfr. But even if the machines arent working, the cable seems to continuously draw power from the biofuel generator. In effect, all the biofuel is used up, before there are saplings to replace what has been used. Is the universal cable supposed to work this way? If it is, then what a load of rubbish, Id rather go back to conductive pipes. If its not, is this a problem with mfr compatibility? Im on the latest build 1.3.10

Start of looking at the wiki or a mod spotlight on youtube of "thermal expansion" and "minefactory reloaded". Those two will help get you started in the pack.

Hey all, does anyone else experience incredibly long load times for their saves, or for new world gen? Also, I lowered the allocated ram to 2gb from 4gb, as someone else suggested somewhere on here. Now my previous saves wont load at all. Its not crashing, just stopping entirely on the loading world building terrain page.

Singleplayer survival on hard mode. Its actually still pretty easy.

Many thanks, this solved my issue also :)

Rp microblocks have been replaced with immibis microblocks, its pretty much the same thing, except without such a bad lighting glitch. The recipes arent in nei, apart from the saw. But they work just the same as rp2 blocks did.

I was quoting direwolf20, but he was referring to buildcraft for 1.4.7, have things changed again? Or was he incorrect? Either way, the quarry is a lot faster than it used to be :)

Fun fact about sewage though, its effects dont appear until after you get out of it. And,,,,,,, you cannot drown in it! Feel free to stand in a deep pool of the stuff until you get bored or die of starvation lol.

FYI the quarry has been buffed since the previous tekkit. It now accepts up to 100mj per tick. So will need 50 steam engines to get max speed. Or 25 magmatics if ferrous isnt an issue. It does run ridiculously fast though

If you only need oil to make rocket fuel, I just used the mfr oil fabricator. Its probably a waste of mj, but if you have more energy than you use, then it doesnt really matter.

You can change which way around the pipe is using a wrench. There is a clear end and coloured end, The coloured end should be attached to the storage you wish to pull from.

(NEW) TEKKIT Tutorials and a lets play for good measure!

Episode 9 is now up. Modular power suits and applied energistics are the features in this episode. -
Very true, but its not a difficult task to add in a few source blocks. And Im pretty sure the saplings collected would still be plain vanilla saplings anyway. Its a lot to expect the maker of mfr to code the machines to behave differently between dimensions/planets etc, so adding water source blocks just so you could plant the first lot of saplings seems somewhat pointless?

It is by no means expensive, just spawn a prefueled spaceship and launchpad in singleplayer and take a look.

A bit of shameless self promotion never hurts lol. Im doing a lets play with the pack. I am by no means a minecraft expert, but I try to share what I do know in my videos. Thats episode 1 in the series. Im going to be shortening the episodes to around ten to fifteen minutes each so that I can upload daily. I hope it helps point you in the right direction.

Thankyou for the kind words, Im glad you find it useful :D

You can put the mod back in, but remove bookbinders. That way, no ages can be made, but linkbooks can.
-
Same here, we use linking books.

We have the same issue on the server I play on. The omnitool itself is removed. But there appears to be no way of preventing it from being added to a powersuit. Its all well and good telling people not to add the module, but you cannot actually prevent its construction. So obviously, some people use it not knowing. And whats to stop someone from doing it out of spite because of their daddy issues? The whole modular powersuits mod is at risk of being removed currently, if there is no workaround. If anyone has some helpful advice on the subject, it would be greatly appreciated.
