Then you dont have enough levels to complete the enchant
-
If you have the levels, everything is repairable in the enchanting table.

Since the update I have found two already downed meteors and been nearly hit by a further two. You guys get all the luck :D
-
This happens on our server as well. Not too often though, maybe once an hour or so.
-
Im a fan of a heavily enchanted poison staff with afterlife. Hit a mob once and most go down to 1 heart pretty fast, then smack them with it again and quite often get a spawn egg for that mob as well :D

I think its just the better dungeons spawning there as well. They spawn in pocket dimensions to. One of the piston floor rooms I found opened over a dungeon lol.

Yeah the kitty invasions were nerfed in the updated version. Thank god for the clearlag plugin, the amount of people whos clients crashed due to all the dropped blocks was insane There were literally kittys as far as the eye could see :D

Certainly, the website is http://www.x-craft-servers.enjin.com/home Hexxit is on a dedicated box, i7 32gb ram, 1 tb storage, its not whitelisted and the ip is 144.76.47.38 There is also cross server chat between the bigdig and skyblock servers. So theres usually someone about to chat to Its not advertised yet, so the population is low. The owner wants to make sure its completely stable before getting a massive influx of new people. But it is open to the public. There is a script set up to restart the server if it crashes, so if it does, just wait a few minutes and it will reboot. Most people have headed south and west, if you want to jump straight into adventuring, there will be more untouched areas to the north and east.

The server I play on is being reset monthly. Players have plenty of warning and its a specific date each month. However, players inventories will not be cleared. So before the reset, everyone will be packing their backpacks and loading their inventories to the eyeballs Hexxit is about adventure, not building grand structures. After each reset, everyone will be ransacking a new castle to call home, and thats the way it should be. We are running factions as well, so the teamwork aspect of finding a new place to call home adds to the fun.

In the first hour of our server being open, the entire autumn biome we spawned in was decimated by kitty comets, it was hilarious.

Game-Breaking Exploit needs to be fixed

Blood causes glaives to get you more blood from kills. Soul and bloodletting allow you to collect blood and souls with other weapons than the glaive and scythe. Soul stealer (for soul shards) gets you more than one soul per kill, up to 5 for level V I believe. Reading I think allows you to ead playernames at a greater distance? -
You didnt say however that you had the most recent update of the clientside files. Just saying.
-
I dont believe there is no. Can other players saddle a chocobo belonging to another player? If not, then just remember to remove the saddle when you "park" it.

Definitely sounds like the golem. In my experience with hexxit, they tend to start attacking when you try to open the final chest. In previous versions of BD people used to just mine up and access the final chest without fighting the golem. I think the mechanic has been added to prevent this. And yes, I imagine heis in the room below. You should be able to access the chest when the golem is dead.

To charge them Earth medallion requires you to take fall damage, fire one requires you to take fire or lava damage, Wind one requires damage from arrows, Ender one you charge by staring at endermen.

If Hexxit is smp, there will be servers up. Im not advertising the server here. But happy to message anyone a link to the website. The owner is online and waiting for the server pack, which will be installed asap. (i7 32gb ram dedicated box, so not a fly by night private server )

You need to go into the launcher settings and set permgen size to increase. And yes optifine and texture packs do horrible things to big dig.

AE and MP's strange condition behaviour

Use fuzzy busses to move around empty or part charged powersuit items. -
Wow, what kind of video card are you running that would use such a vast amount of electricity? Im envisioning a card the size of a microwave, or small car.

Sorry, my mistake, its the thermal expansion engines that slow down and use less fuel, not the standard bc ones. I believe the mfr biofuel generator operates on similar principles but stops entirely. If power isnt being used, its internal buffer fills up. When its full it stops producing power. But the universal cable draws all the power constantly and dumps it I guess. Im using redstone conduit instead, and its working perfectly again. For others, i would highly recommend avoiding the universal cable, unless you have a constant powersink using the full output of a biofuel gen. Otherwise, you are throwing your biofuel away.

It didnt need to exist with ee2 in the pack. You may as well have been in creative anyway.

Fixed in the latest release (not recomended yet). It was annoying though.

Galacticraft is a bad comparison, as it doesnt replace anything from ic2. Admittedly, galacticraft, although fun, is a cobbled together mess at the moment. But the potential is there. I was refering mostly to the thermal expansion machines. Which are far superior to ic2 machinery with regards to automation and set up. Yes, the machines may be slower than ic2's upgraded ones, which forces you to make more if speed is what you are going for, rather than magical upgrades etc. Ic2 farming was a joke at best, and brewing was such a minor part of the mod, Im amazed anybody would miss it. The one thing I still feel is keeping ic2 alive is gregtech, which I think is a great mod. A little sadistic perhaps, but still a great mod. EE2 is by far and away a massive game breaker. After two days, you may as well be playing in creative for goodness sake. Condensers were handy for emc farms and for getting things you were too lazy to collect or automate. But even just re-adding condensers to ee3 would break the game entirely. EE3 is indeed a very shallow mod at the moment. But just having a minium stone is slightly game breaking. A decent mob farm nets plenty of shards to fund a tree farm/diamond factory. Adding back in dark matter tools is a waste of time and would put me off ee3 entirely. The solar panels from ic2 were also ridiculously overpowered. That amount of power being magically collected in a one block space? Not to mention that four of them would equal a high output nuclear reactor lol, utter nonsense. Reactors could do with being replaced in the future, as long as they were actually worth the effort to build, unlike previous incarnations. So in short,,,,, IC2 machines need a full overhaul to,,, Make them anywhere near as efficient as thermal expansions automation. Make some of them worth using at all (electrolyzer) or remove the bloody things. Make the recipes for certain things a bit more realistic (magical speed boost upgrades for next to nothing). Batboxes were so cheap, I never even bothered using one unless it was part of another recipe. One mining trip would net you an mfe without any fuss at all. I can envision ic2 machinery as many multiblock structures, making industrial factories and things actually an impressive sight to see. Mass fab needs to be nerfed as well, or at least changed to be gregtech standards, with scrap a necessity, not an option. Solars need nerfed, or to be multiblock multichunk arrays to aquire the same amount of power. Reactors need to be gregtech difficult, but still outperform any free energy production. Making them not just fun and challenging to build, but actually worth the time and effort compared to spamming solars. The farming and brewing could easily become mods in their own right if the time was put into making them worthwhile. IC2 is full of potential! But will it ever be realised? Or is it a dead horse being flogged by fanboys? Greg made it fun again, for a while, but in its current state, its dead. I agree that mps are just as OP as quantumsuit. You can have a fully loaded mps after running one 64x64 quarry. So in fact, more op than quantum. The recipes need heavily balanced in my opinion. But that doesnt stop the mps being far superior to quantums. Sidenote, I would have full nano after one mining trip as well, so they were pretty op too. As I said, I loved ic2. But there is more challenge and fun to be had creating things with newer mods. So unless ic2 is massively overhauled, i wouldnt want it to be added again and I very highly doubt that it ever would, even if it got the overhaul. As the track record for updates is a bit ropey. Would you really want your modpack of choice to stop updating just because you wanted a mass fab or solar panels to make life easier? Or because you liked drinking enough beer to give you nausea and probably die?

I found carrots quite easily to be honest. About 1000 away from spawn in a vanilla village. To be honest, Im not struggling to find anything I need.
-
I loved ic2 as well, but without a massive overhaul, not just updating, I wouldnt want to see it dirty the streamlined efficiency of newer mods.
