That looks like every biome except Ocean, Sky, and Hell, so you're right. Ideally that would be configurable.
Maybe they just crawled out of the ocean for the first time!
I was afraid of that. Something in your java is messed up. I'm not sure how to solve it but uninstalling and then reinstalling (may as well get the latest while you're at it) could fix it.
EDIT: Try that instead. v
I'll give it a shot.
Go to your desktop.
Create a folder- name it something like "Hexxit Server".
Download the Hexxit server package.
Extract the zip to the Hexxit Server folder.
Double click launch.bat
And that's it!
You will need to Port-Forward assuming people will be joining from the other side of your router's firewall, but there are plenty of good guides on that.
Sometimes I think people (Mainly in the modded community) focus far too much on pure functionality and not enough on actual game design. Maybe we should think about things that look nice (Those lamps! ) and are convenient or practical, like a single logic gate for a simple aplication.
Oh ok.
The head of my Minecraft skin showing up if you put your name in is a nice touch. I was going to delete mine because it's redundant, but now I think I'll keep it. It could use a space though.
Yep, that's exactly what it is. I was just trying to demonstrate how easy and quick of a change it would be (I wasn't proposing a complete overhaul like the one we got, just the logo) and threw something together to show what I meant.
The new bug tracker is neat. It's like an actual tracker instead of just a forum now.
Yeah. Xenforo and CFS are pretty similar (Xenforo was actually started by ex- IP.Board programmers) and maybe XenForo was a little better, but the new look is worth it.
minecraft_server.jar contains only vanilla Minecraft. The other jar (not sure what it's called exactly) patches Minecraft on the fly with Forge so the mods will load, so obviously it's essential.
