  1. Yes, but zip is universal- all major operating systems support zip natively, wheras 7z is proprietary.
  2. I did a few seconds of research on bzip2 and apparently it isn't a full archiver, so it wouldn't work.
  3. Why the need for such compression? How many mods are you trying to fit into your modpack?
  4. It's never a good idea to give your password to a program/website you don't trust, but you can trust the Technic launcher. It hooks directly into mojang's login system and doesn't record your information in any way. If you don't belive us, the launcher is open source, so take a look at the code.
  5. I suspect there's a 3 modpack limit to prevent people from spamming dozens. if you want more than 3, last I heard there was no limit on Technic Solder packs.
  6. Try posting in a relevant thread.
  7. Huh, what a place. I don't want to put up with peer pressure. Fine! I'll take it!
  8. The Technic platform doesn't actually host any files for you. You still need dropbox or something equivalent.
  9. One can but hope.
  10. The launcher needs to be updated, supposedly that will come back.
  11. Buy the game. This isn't free Minecraft.
  12. What? I didn't want it, ninjaman2 did.
  13. Ok. In that case, if you absolutely can't live without it, then your only option is Solder. I'm pretty sure you need a web server for that.
  14. The same place you get them for vanilla Minecraft.
  15. A Technic website account is unecessary to play Minecraft.
  16. That depends, are mods content in the same sense? It sounded to me like it was talking more about custom maps or texturepacks.
  17. I think I found a platinum nether ore once, I'm pretty sure it made shiny ingots.
  18. Hang on. Do you mean the pack logo (That shows up on the left side of the launcher) or the pack icon? (That shows up on the taskbar and the top of the window)
  19. If you use the Solder API for your modpack, yes, I believe so.
  20. Frank229 also hasn't logged in in a year.
  21. Download MultiMC, create a new 1.2.5 instance, have it install Minecraft forge for you, copy the Tekkit Classic mods and configs. If you need more detailed instructions, google it.
  22. There is no solution. You're supposed to leave it. Tekkit is supposed to Minecraft 1.5.2.
  23. You can't have an icon without Technic Solder. (Or at all with the latest version of the launcher, I think they're working on that.)
  24. Yeah, but what does that other game have to do with StarMade?
