Beetles. Lots and lots of beetles. And cockroaches too. Nasty little things.

Any server that advertises itself as being both the Big Dig modpack and Minecraft 1.7.8 is falsely advertising. The latest version of Big Dig is for Minecraft 1.5.2. Ergo, there can't be any servers for 1.7.8.
-
You can't, because there aren't any 1.7.8 Big Dig servers.

The modpack will be updated once all the mods have been updated, assembled, configured, tested, etc. Updates to the Technic Launcher and the packs themselves are independent of each other.
-
No, YogscastComplete is a completely different pack. As for the original Technic, there's packs of it on the platform. They're not hard to find.
-
It does when certain things outside the software that it depends on are no longer around or are no longer functional or are simply no longer compatible.

Why don't the devs make a CLASSIC tekkit classic.
Valkon replied to The Dank Knight's topic in Cafe Lame
I can't think of a reason you wouldn't be able to if you know how. -
How to convert Tekkit Lite to Tekkit?
Valkon replied to captain_fiddlesticks_'s topic in Tekkit Lite Discussion
Well, one of the reasons is the difference in the mod loadout. For example, Tekkit Main doesn't have IC2 or Redpower. -
My findings on how to improve server performance.

How to convert Tekkit Lite to Tekkit?
Valkon replied to captain_fiddlesticks_'s topic in Tekkit Lite Discussion
Tekkit Lite doesn't necessarily have less mods; "Lite" just refers to it not having Bukkit, unlike its predecessor Tekkit Classic. -
I think you just answered your own question right there.

How to convert Tekkit Lite to Tekkit?

If, by chance, you are trying to transfer a world from Tekkit Lite to Tekkit, you're probably better off just starting a new world. -
Like I said, sounds more annoying than fun, but that's just my personal preference. Really though, I'm thinking of this in terms of Voltz; if it were in a pack more focused on mobility and survival, perhaps Hexxit or even Attack of the B-Team (though there's hardly a shortage of things to do in those as it is), then I'd probably find it more interesting. However, Voltz for me still falls under the industrial type packs, which have more of a focus on building up and expanding one base (or multiple connected bases) to its maximum effectiveness. But like I said, as it is having something like that in Voltz would just be more annoying than fun to me.
-
To be completely honest, that sounds more annoying than fun.

I think Steve's Carts 2 has modules for that.

What prevents you from just having an infinite source of water in your home that you drink from?
-
Do keep in mind that adding mods that add actual content to the game (as opposed to things like Optifine and minimap mods) will not allow you to use them on servers unless said server also has those mods installed.

I think I know what you're talking about. A Minefactory Reloaded steam turbine, just stick water in and you get energy? I've heard about that. That was a bug. You're not supposed to be able to do that. Like the galacticraft wiring bug. Except probably less likely to devour chunks of your world.

When is Vanilla going to be updated for Technic
Valkon replied to itstimeforadventure's topic in Cafe Lame
So far you've called everyone in this thread unhelpful. Even when they are helping you. And I think my solution (i.e. playing outdated but modded minecraft) is just fine, if not preferable. Hell, I'd take the old Technic 3 pack for Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 over the current vanilla Minecraft. I still have it on my hard drive. -
Probably.

The second bar is your suit's heat levels. Try installing a railgun on the power gauntlet and firing it a few times on maximum settings if you want to see what happens when that fills up. (Hint: You catch on fire)

You can't use stirling engines (or any buildcraft engines) to power Thermal Expansion machines. Try a steam dynamo.
