  1. Last I checked, you don't even have an actual Blightfall server. Just a server that happens to have the same mods, without the map. Votes on some other website are irrelevant.
  2. Watching the stream now since I woke up too late to see it live, actually just got to that part. Once those last three melons are found I think it'll be time for Blightfall 3: The Search For More Money Melons
  3. I think you're taking me far too literally. Let me go find a better version of the analogy I used before... ah, here it is. "Modern IndustrialCraft is what happens when the doctors try to save the year-old cadaver by giving it to the mad scientist down the road."
  4. "Alive" much in the way a zombie is. A new pack is about to be released, with updates to Hexxit and Tekkit occurring some time afterwards. They were supposed to be released earlier this summer but things happened and they got delayed.
  5. The problem is you're trying to use BuildCraft engines to power Thermal Expansion machines. You're going to want to make a Steam Dynamo.
  6. In the grim darkness of the far future, when Humanity has to send an entire planetary colonization fleet just to find five women...
  7. The people that told you that Technic promised a "fix" to bring EE2 to 1.5.x were either misinformed or flat out lying. I don't recall the Technic team making any such promise, and I can't find any evidence of such a thing. On a personal level, I was happy to see IC2 and EE2 go - they were fun while they lasted, but it was time to move on.
  8. My post was more or less directed at Gomo (and partially The_Glaive). Making your own packs is always an option; that's what I've been doing for the past year or so.
  9. I take it you don't read the news. (Updated versions of Tekkit and Hexxit (as well as an official version of Blightfall) are supposed to come out this summer. Two of those packs are supposed to have come out already but are delayed due to art assets taking longer to produce than expected.)
  10. These two pictures are apparently what happens when I feel like drawing things and read Lovecraftian literature around the same time.
  11. If you have a Minium Stone or can get your hands on one, you can transmute iron into ender pearls.
  12. It is working as intended. You do not control the direction of energy flow on the conduits themselves.
  13. Due to the nature of modded minecraft's ID assignment, it's unlikely he would know the exact IDs in whatever pack you are playing. You can use NEI to find them if you have item IDs set to be shown, though.
  14. That's just because Ninjas are so much better. Though I can appreciate a good Ninja Pirate every now and then.
  15. I think something's wrong with your link. I tried it and all I got was some weird occult grimoire. Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn Maybe something's broken, I don't know. YOG-SOTHOTH, YOG-SOTHOTH

    More Ram

You need to install 64-bit Java if you want to use more than 1 GB of RAM.
  17. Yeah. Big Dig was on the platform for its initial 1.4 releases and then it became an official pack with the updates to 1.5.
  18. Make sure you have 64-bit Java and not 32-bit.
  19. You know, when I deleted your other post in the Tekkit Classic server section and told you to try again, this is not exactly what I had in mind. Where did the MLG element come from? That wasn't there before. Are you trying to be funny? Because I'm not laughing.
  20. You'll want to use a compression dynamo for oil. General rule of thumb is Steam Dynamos for solid fuels (coal, charcoal, wood, etc), Magmatic Dynamos to generate from hot fluids (lava and blazing pyrotheum), Compression Dynamos to generate from liquid fuels (oil, liquefacted coal, etc), and Reaction Dynamos for... well, there's a lot of things that work in those. There's a chart here on the FTB wiki (note that some of the fluids listed there (i.e. Biomass and Creosote Oil) are not in Tekkit due to differences in the mods between Tekkit and FTB's packs). For transportation of liquids, you want to use fluiducts for moving from A to B and Tesseracts for teleporting from A to B.
  21. Steam turbines require steam as an input. You want to use a steam dynamo. Put it next to a machine or energy conduits and pump in water along with some coal, charcoal, or other such solid fuel and it'll start generating energy (if you've ever used a Buildcraft Stirling Engine, it's rather similar to one of those).
  22. If you want something like Itemducts in Tekkit Classic, try looking into pneumatic tubes from RedPower 2. Also, moved to the appropriate section to reduce confusion.
  23. Buildcraft is in fact in Tekkit. As for the redstone engines overheating, you don't need to worry about them. Unless you've done something horribly wrong they shouldn't be able to.
  24. That's... quite debatable. Personally, I preferred EE1's original system of all transmutations being done via different patterns of items in a crafting table with the philosopher's stone (and at the time it could even be automated reasonably well with the addition of Buildcraft's autocrafting tables, and it would require quite a bit more effort and thinking to set up an automatic transmutation system with it compared to something like EE2's condenser where you just shove everything into one block), but maybe that's just me.
