  1. More or less. You will probably run into some issues between them in terms of duped mods (check for duplicated zips or mod names in the mods folder, always keep the newest version) and ID conflicts (which are resolved via the repsective clashing mods configs)
  2. Assuming you're editing an existing (and working) modpack, it would have a mods folder that itd go into to modify the custom pack already made.
  3. Like any other mod. It goes where the mods instructions state it goes. Which is generally in the mods folder.
  4. Issues belong on the tracker. Link at top of page.
  5. Alternatively, you just ran the minecraft server jar instead of the bteam jar or even the batch file like is intended.
  6. In the future, technical issues should be posted on the tracker, link at top of page.
  7. Absolutely none. Why? Because discussions like this one go nowhere quick in terms of actually implementing additional mods. In most cases, the mods that are suggested are simply re-runs of mods in other modpacks that already beat the mod down into a messy bloody pile of crap. And in the event they haven't done that, you may have found yourself a mod that still won't be accepted because it interferes with modpack balance, it already has too many ____ styled mods, or it simply isnt supported. There is another key problem to these types of threads: If you want a mod in the pack you can easily add it yourself. Thus making it a custom modpack and support for that would go to the Platform Pagoda section of the forums. By simply adding the mods you want yourself, you win. Granted of course this has the downside of no longer being able to enter "vanilla" servers of this modpack without removing the mods again, but that was the point of making it into a custom modpack - so others could easily download it and join you in your vision of the pack. There's plenty I left out of this post simply because I do not want to type it all out, but a long story short: Wish you luck in getting this thread anywhere outside of "will not add"
  8. The wording of the upgrade is, and I quote verbatim, That second line is key in associating that it'd be necessary for all dimensions and not just the same one.
  9. The thing is, even if someone did have a config file, it doesnt mean the issue would magically go away. Without knowing what the actual issue is from the log the "working" config file could do absolute bupkis.
  10. /config/cofh/CoFHCore.cfg is your friend #################### # security #################### security { # Enable this to allow for Server Ops to access 'secure' blocks. Your players will be warned upon server connection. (Default: false) B:OpsCanAccessSecureBlocks=false # Enable this to be warned about Ops having access to 'secure' blocks when connecting to a server. (Default: true) B:OpsCanAccessSecureBlocksWarning=true } Give yourself OP if you havent already and ull be able to open it. (If the above config isnt clear, mark the first false setting to true, then run the server)

  12. Perhaps >this thread will shed light on why he was "smart" about it.
  13. Crash log? Getting Crash Logs * Run Technic Launcher * Select modpack * Click on the Cog icon located on the bottom left of the modpack logo * Click on "Open Folder" * Open "crash-reports" folder * Provide relevant log files ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pasting Logs Use one of the following methods to show us your log files: * Attach file to posting * Use http://pastebin.com and paste the resulting URL in your post * Use http://paste.ubuntu.com and paste the resulting URL in your post For overly sized files, attaching or using the above URLs may not work, you can use one of the following for these types of cases * http://mediafire.com * http://dropbox.com
  14. Because it isnt a direct download link. The URL needs to be direct. Meaning if you visit the url in your browser, it should load nothing and either automatically download the file or ask to download the file.
  15. My only assumption is you copied the world contents over incorrectly. Post the directory listings (ie: files and folders) of the hexxit servers world folder contents edit:after having done the previous instructions to copy it over.
  16. Issues belong on the tracker in the future, also you might be interested in reading the main page where theres a news post in relations to Java 8u20.
  17. the vanilla portal size must be 4x5 frame, they didnt introduce the customization until 1.7. The EP2 needs the portal modifier block as well as using the glowstone encrusted flint and steel. I believe it also needs the dimensional upgrade in order to work.
  18. No such thing as a 1.7 MC build of this pack.
  19. Relogging how? If you went to the launcher and logged out from there, then re-logged in, it shouldve fixed the issue.
  20. I'm aware of this topic isn't intentionally to be about the DMCA, however with it being brought up, it inadvertently became about the DMCA for clarification purposes and this discussion about it.
  21. But Melfice, can you just give me the link?
  22. Hexxit issues would belong on the tracker (link at top of page), the "Official Craftin Dead" modpack problem would have to be taken up with the modpacks author.
  23. I would have spend some additional time to actually come up with a server machine that would be able to handle that load of people. I believe it would be around $400 if there was nothing to go from (no case, monitor, keyboard, mouse, power supply, motherboard, etc...) if you wanted to go this route - but also be aware that there is also the network loads that would be necessary to circumvent, and modpacks just increase the network loads, I wouldn't recommend a server on a <1Mbps upload line unless its for about two-three people total (including yourself). For 10-20 ppl on this modpack I would suggest at least a 5Mbps up line, 10Mbps up being more preferred (and may be a bit overkill, I'd need to do some networking diagnostics on the pack to get a better idea of its requirements per person) This all said and done, while I did say I do not personally like any single hosting company out there because of the reasons I suggested, I did offer one option who I have had experience with that wasn't that bad (tho they suffered from the lack of info portion and their customer service leaves something to be desired but their actual server service isnt bad)
  24. You're running an outdated version of Java btw, I do recommend uninstalling all versions you have, rebooting, then installing Java 7u67 64bit from http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Other than this, it looks like the FML version you used is the latest and not the recommended version. The latest version may be the cause of this issue as the latest versions may not always be 100% stable and the issue is happening very soon into the process.
