That output (btw use the <> tag for quoting console info, And you need to manually do the spoiler tags, theres no button for it) indicates that the server is actually running. Which means it should of produced the ForgeModLoader-server-0.log for its contents of what you saw in the console. Perhaps plow can come better explain why his batch file isnt staying open since he's the one who made it. And just to clarify - you didnt X out of the console window after it opened right?

Issues belong on the tracker, link at top of page or in my signature below. @Stratus - dont assume anything let alone give general "help" as it may just cause more problems.

Or better yet, post the issue on the tracker. Link at top of page or in my signature below.

Vanilla spawners take quite a while to "boot up" (10-45s if im not mistaken) for each spawn period, have a default range of 16 blocks for activation. So, dont expect them to be instantly there. And they will only spawn if conditions are met (witches need a light level of 7 or lower to spawn from the spawner)

There is no config folder in your modpack download. If you updated the pack, make sure to update the version for the pack so it realizes theres an update.

Custom mod pack doesn't respond at mojang screen
Kalbintion replied to bowlerk's topic in Platform Pagoda
Crash is related to code chicken core. Looked at version, its a 1.7.2 version not 1.6.4. Latest 1.6.4 version can be gotten from http://chickenbones.net/Pages/links.html - ensure to click "CodeChickenCore" then select "1.6.4" -
My custom modpack loads vanilla minecraft...?
Kalbintion replied to Balliztica's topic in Platform Pagoda
There are plenty of threads on the forums of this issue - custom modpack running vanilla is the fact it wasnt setup to use forge properly. Kanoosus, post your own thread with a link to the modpack api url, so you can get better assistance. -
Ultra Modded Survival: Put your crashes and issues HERE
Kalbintion replied to Amaxter's topic in Platform Pagoda
Careful on how you post links - theres some hidden characters in that link that breaks it - http://paste.ubuntu.com/8270963/ is the correct url And after looking at that log, it was cut off (see the last line in that link) and with zero description of what your issue is, I cant help ya without either a descriptive explanation of what went wrong that you expected to happen otherwise or a completed log. -
Post a launcher log. It'll provide much more insight than you may think Getting Launcher Logs * Run Technic Launcher * Click on the Cog icon located on the top right of the launcher * Click on the "Logs" button * Provide relevant log files ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pasting Logs Use one of the following methods to show us your log files: * Attach file to posting * Use http://pastebin.com and paste the resulting URL in your post * Use http://paste.ubuntu.com and paste the resulting URL in your post For overly sized files, attaching or using the above URLs may not work, you can use one of the following for these types of cases * http://mediafire.com * http://dropbox.com

Exactly what I mean. The other biomes will then be added once the chunks are regenerated. and MCEdit isnt that difficult to learn to use if you spend a bit of time messing around. I also have a tutorial series (couple beginner styled episodes) on my youtube channel that may be of assistance. It doesnt go over chunk deletion but it should help with navigational, selection, etc things. As for dynmap - yeah, even their wiki says the trim would cause dynmap to need to be ran with fullrender.

If the window doesnt stay up, then the server isnt running. Shift-right-click in the folder, click "Open command window here", then type startserver, hit enter. it should run the batch file. this way youll be able to see what it outputs so quickly. Chances are though it sounds like itd be complaining about java not being a recognizable command, but instead of my assumption of this, let us know what it says.

It'll continue to spread, afaik there is no limitation on how much itll consume. It should be contained asap.

You can use the worldborder trim command, it deletes them. Use /wb set <radiusX> [radiusZ] (or another /wb set command) to set the worlds border before running the trim command. The radius needs to be sufficiently set to be outside the farthest from where the command the ran (ie: a base at 100,100, ran at 0,0, needs radius of 100 at least to make sure part of it gets in, 150 would probably get most of their base...etc) Otherwise - use a map editor like MCEdit to delete chunks (bit easier to grab chunks around bases, etc). There is no way though to bypass the chunk edges that will happen from doing either of these changes.

If the server is running (ie you ran the startserver.bat file) you will need to connect to it via the modpack from the technic launcher. You will also need to connect to the server using the IP 127.0.0.1 or "localhost" (either or works) - and if the port was changed, make sure to attach that all (and if you dont know what this means, chances are its the default port and you dont need to attach it anyway)

Regions need to be set on what is permitted and what isnt permitted. See the wiki page, http://wiki.sk89q.com/wiki/WorldGuard, for more information on using it. Also, would've been easier and better to follow if this was just a reply to your previous thread: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Custom mod pack doesn't respond at mojang screen
Kalbintion replied to bowlerk's topic in Platform Pagoda
There's only one? http://chickenbones.net/Pages/links.html - universal link is the one you want. If you're downloading the mod from any site but that one, its probably not the latest and may be malicious. Always ensure you get the mods from the authors themselves. And that chisel version you're using is really outdated. http://www.mediafire.com/folder/3fos6frfg1369/Chisel Edit: Should mention, that crash is from chisel, hence why i looked to see if there was an updated version for it. -
WorldGuard is the most common suggestion and most popular in terms of protection.

Post the issue on the tracker, link at top of page. Ensure to include the ForgeModLoader-server-0.log file. As for this error about version checking failing - its a non-server-breaking issue, so going based on that as being the issue is outright wrong, unfortunately.
-
Your tracker report contains alternatives to posting logs. Also, if your launcher log file is too big, renaming it and running the launcher once and going through the motions once to reproduce the issue can significantly lower the size.

[bug] forestry Farm (actually managed)
Kalbintion replied to 1joachim1's topic in Big Dig Discussion
AppData is specific to windows vista and later operating systems. -
They rarely spawn. It'll take some time to find them. I ended up finding some about 2k blocks out from spawn in a....swamp grove styled biome (cant remember the name of it)

If it is an official modpack then post the issue on the tracker, link at top of the page. If it is for a custom modpack, post in the Platform Pagoda.

While there are locations, "free" download of any microsoft operating system is considered piracy (as they are often cracked and bypass Microsofts anti-theft systems), which is something that cannot be discussed on these forums (as it is illegal) - I know Microsoft did offer at one point them sending you, via mail, a Windows disc at a charge of $10. I'm unsure if they still offer this. The other option is visiting a local computer store (avoid major corporations, like Best Buy, reasoning follows) that is small enough as often the employees are hardcore computer people (experts more than likely in some aspect) and they may be willing to let you use a disc they have to reinstall for free or a much smaller charge rate than having to re-buy the entire OS from a major corporation (as their employees have strict standards they have to follow or else theyll get in trouble, etc etc)
