  1. From a few of their videos, the reasons they stated for the ore rates to be so high is because they didnt want to spend months getting the ores necessary to make one video.
  2. Darin was updated in 1.0.12 i believe, if not then it was in 1.0.11 versions.
  3. You obviously never tried to use carpenter blocks on a ship.
  4. My apologies then, I mistook the intentions of the post and took it to be more of a server advertisement than anything. The thread title doesnt really lead to any other conclusion either if it was just gone off of that.
  5. Well if this was on a later version of mc, itd be a simple command to be ran with /summon to get the effects desired. It'd be easier that way for the villager method, but alas, we have no such power on 1.6.4...
  6. There's many other means to get food to start, villagers for example.
  7. Have you looked at '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> ?
  8. There's also the option of spawning in a villager and editing their NBT info to be the "Netherrack trader"
  9. This isn't the place to post a server advertisement...That's what the server section is for. If someone wants to play on the latest version, theyd go there.
  10. I'm starting to report ppl who spill logs on tracker reports. They're becoming more and more annoyingly frequent and makes it a pain to view anything other than the spilledl og

So I can put those there as long as they arent pasted in full, I have to just describe the error and put the link to the pastebinned log?

Genpage's law. I just follow his words. We did have something similar back when we used Xenforo forum, we told the user to use the spoilers tag

This forum still has the spoilers tag. If its only a snippet of a log though, ive been using the code (<>) tags to show the snippet (usually kept to a max of 5 lines) so the error or portion of log can be seen and understood or referenced for other people having the same issue can go look in their log for that/those line/s

  11. The replies mean just as much as the original post. The same reasoning behind not having to scroll a crap ton to get to the replies, or any other additional information under the images (if there was or not, i wouldnt know without having to scroll past them anyway) would be annoying to get to. My reasoning is the same reasoning behind not spilling logs out on the tracker.
  12. Indeed a bug, not sure if its a confliction with the mods in the pack or if its an issue with tinkers' itself. Just give yourself the netherrack item and toss out the equivalent netherrack so it isnt cheating as much.
  13. I knew about their behaviours but it isnt comon enough to happen to make a major note of it, and most people who even mess with these mobs at all tend to set it up using a chronotyper so the mutations never get noticed.
  14. Short answer: No Long answer: Ask b-team and associates if they want the mod in the pack. I doubt theyll say yes, considering this pack is to be less tech heavy.
  15. All 30+ of them detailing the same exact error?
  16. BrowserXL, he has 4GB max on his system according to the post. I doubt it'll allow him to assign 4GB or higher considering theres a physical limitation. Best bet I can guess is the launcher may allow him to assign 3GB max, which should still be fine even on a 32x sphax resource pack (anything higher and youll most likely run into OOM issues without turning down other settings) - also assuming of course the sphax resource pack was put together properly according to their instructions.
  17. Whatever happened to us looking into it and maybe doing a patch ourselves? Also, @danagor - you may want to note the CTRL+H shortcut for find and replace that is commonly found in most text editors (CMD+H on mac?) as it would save a ton of time setting them back to true, however this does have a downside of potentially turning on other things that should be left off. So a copy/paste of the allow villages section into a temporary notepad or something, the find/replace then done there, then copied back into the config is the best, quickest, and less error prone way to turn them all on again.
  18. 1.0.13 doesnt re-enable villages at all.
  19. Genny did some research into it. There isn't much to know though: They can be bred with wheat, they can drop various items, and their breed times and growth times (baby -> adult) are stupidly low (1minute)
  20. Might i suggest hiding the images in spoiler tags so it doesnt take up a stupid bulk of the page? I want to see the replies rather than have to burn through a few screenfuls of images before getting to them.
  21. It was disabled to prevent a crash from happening. The following links describe the issue in greater detail and the fixes for the issues. See '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> and '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> (Post #4) and page-5#entry512232'>page-5#entry512232 and http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/issue-2010-connectionarea-crashes-server/
  22. Just an update about this list, since 1.0.13c removed the ability to use carpenter blocks to be a direct part of the archimedes ship, the carpenter blocks will no longer cause the game to crash, however this issue is still present in pre-1.0.13c modpack versions
  23. There's a config (configbiomesoplentyterraingen.cfg) you can edit to enable their spawning again in BoP specific biomes. They do still spawn in vanilla based biomes. Edit: Just a note, the villages were disabled in BoP specific biomes for a reason: It caused a crash for a lot of users on occasion, enough to warrant it from being disabled. You can check out the following links for more info on the crash and the fixes for it. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> and '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> (Post #4) and page-5#entry512232'>page-5#entry512232 and http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/issue-2010-connectionarea-crashes-server/
  24. I've had a few cases where even resetting the modpack didnt update the config files properly (might have been some weird permissions error when it tries to replace them due to antivirus etc) and that if it still fails to work even on 1.0.13c after updating from 1.0.13b or any other previous version, going in to delete the config folder manually then resetting the modpack should resolve any odd issues like this.
  25. Ditto on what BrowserXL said and Lodaer. Also, more about the actual hardware that you linked - it should be able to host a server and client together without too much issue for a small group of friends (3-4 players only). If you're getting lag yourself, then the server most likely isn't keeping up and you should see that in the console about "Did the system time change?" type of message complaining about it not being able to keep up. If that message is seen, then its for sure that the computer isnt keeping up with what it needs to even for yourself and that it may be impossible even though the hardware should be good enough to host a small group. Do keep in mind though, that having other applications running in the background (chat programs, skype, browsers, etc) will take additional processing time away from the server and client which can easily cause issues as well as chat programs, skype, browsers, etc will also take away bandwidth which will directly affect anyone who joins with you on top of any lag the server is already experiencing and it will only be worse if someone joins since it now has more work to do with the same amount of time.
