  1. Chances are there's an ID conflict, and thats without looking at the pack at all or any sort of logs.
  2. Yeah, I'm running into the same result Neowulf. Talking to jwa1 via skype right now. I even attempted to change JVM args to see if i could get it ran. But for some reason it just isnt. Even tried the newest forge version in the event that was doing something, it showed no difference. And changed the --username arg that is sent to be my email address since I have it setup and that failed to work too. Compared the vanilla and launchers JVM args too and i see no difference in jar associations that it needs, theres a few minor JVM arg differences but those are performance/java related and have no end effect on communication.
  3. Did you bother looking down a few lines into my signature, it's fairly obvious...Not to mention the large text at the top saying "Tracker"
  4. Issues belong on the tracker, link at top of page or in my signature below.
  5. Oh, alrighty then. Btw, whatever happened to version 1.04 to 4.02 of that modpack? Lol, noticed the jump and lack of #'s...and also, that saturn packs launcher bg image.....am not a fan, not a fan at all..
  6. Let me grab the modpack you mentioned here and I'll give it a go to see if it is working for me. If it is, then its definitely something local. Also, there's more to add to the exceptions list than the folder. There's the urls as well (technicpack.net, minecraft.net and twitch.tv) - not to mention theres also the windows firewall (or macs firewall), router/modems that can also be getting in the way. I'll edit this post with a success/failure and let you know my result.
  7. Went to report another spam bot, and it was deleted before my report went through...

  8. Just another note, once the server is ran through a batch file instead, the following lines will also go away: [18:01:36] [Server thread/WARN]: To start the server with more ram, launch it as "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar" [18:01:36] [Server console handler/ERROR]: Exception handling console input (Note: the other lines below the second one will also go away with it, its part of the same line overall but without the timestamp info, marking it as a line continuation)
  9. This spam is actually common to a corrupted chunk, an entity going into it, and this message spams alongwith a duplicated entity of it being created. The fix is opening the world in MCEdit and looking for a hole in the world near the entities location provided by the log and then deleting it so its regenerated by the game the next time it is loaded.
  10. Yeah, unfortunately there's a lot of things that seem a bit blurry or not clear. I know I've had to PM GenPage quite a few questions related to the tracker alone. I'm hoping some clarification can be done by an admin on exactly what belongs where and other policies for the tracker, etc due to what seems to be a lack of clarification in this regard.
  11. Plow, as far as i'm concerned this section isnt for technical troubles, but rather to share tips, tricks, etc. As per the sections description says: Whereas I've always referred everyone else to the platform pagoda for custom modpack issues, regardless of what the issue is. If this is incorrect, then perhaps clarification should be posted somewhere on what this section is actually used for compared to the descriptions intentions and what the tech limitations of this forum are compared to the platform pagoda or the tracker.
  12. Ah, okay, I understand now. My only suggestion then is to take a look at any security software you may have. The technic launcher and in general doesnt change anything that is supposed to be there with vanilla minecraft (and even downloads the vanilla minecraft jar for a modpack if it needs to for the version, if it isnt already downloaded) so all internal integration shouldnt be modified at all. It's possible that because its being ran through a launcher that security software may be picking it up as untrusted or otherwise seeing it as "bad" and stops the outgoing connections.
  13. Then I suggest posting the log thats generated on a thread in the platform pagoda where custom modpack support is offered.
  14. It doesn't work in vanilla minecraft? I seem to misunderstand this bit then:
  15. Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: slimevoidlib/ICommonProxy You incorrectly installed the slime void library mod or are missing it completely. Make sure you get that dependency. If you have issues afterwards, post your modpack API URL. And in the future: Pasting Logs Use one of the following methods to show us your log files: * Attach file to posting * Use http://pastebin.com and paste the resulting URL in your post * Use http://paste.ubuntu.com and paste the resulting URL in your post For overly sized files, attaching or using the above URLs may not work, you can use one of the following for these types of cases * http://mediafire.com * http://dropbox.com
  16. That update was for 5/12, its now what? 8/31? It's been a while and still no new update. He may have been around for a while or even briefly to update the pack, but I havent seen any activity since on that main post.
  17. Issues belong on the tracker, link at top of page.
  18. You would install Sphax like you would with texture packs back in the day - you would have to find a download though appropriate for the game version, as additional work would be necessary for converting 1.6+ resource packs back into texture packs. As for shaders, those would work too, but only if you could find shaders that worked with 1.4.7
  19. Is the only rule I can think of NotSamGG for this thread to be reported for. Other than that, not entirely sure. Unless this falls under the "No discussing illegal activities" rule.
  20. Venema, they already posted in the Tekkit section. To me that means they're running the Tekkit modpack. Also, these issues belong on the tracker and this user already posted on the Tekkit section there like they were supposed to. I don't suggest offering support on the forum posts since the staff here want issues posted to the tracker to begin with.
  21. Been there myself on late posts. Just for future reference to others: Issues like this belong on the tracker, theres a link to it at the top of the page.
  22. Issues belong on the tracker, link at top of page.
  23. You would need the full path to the username/ portion, or just use %userprofile% in its place, so the command would fully look like: fc "%AppData%.technicmodpackshexxitconfig*" "%UserProfile%downloadsHexxit_Server_V2.0.1cconfig*" > "%userprofile%desktopconfig compare results.txt" The reason I didnt put that in to begin with is, I dont know where the server files were going to be stored, so i couldnt make a broad assumption of where it was. The best guess I couldve done was the downloads folder, but even then I wasnt sure. The above line should work though.
  24. Waulo, I suggested Opis at one point didn't I? If so, and you still have it installed, you can find out what chunks, entities, etc are causing issues with Opis and what areas the problems are in. Remember, any block that does more than statically sit there (like dirt, stone, etc) will take up processing time.
  25. The link you provided to download the modpack is telling me it cannot be found. Ensure you have the correct direct link to the necessary file so the modpack can actually download the necessary mods.
