I am now having problems with the CodeChicken Mod.
Munaus replied to OctopusBeard's topic in Attack of the B-Team
Post in Bug Report and add the error log so we can properly see what happened -
Umm Sct where are the stickied threads like "Common Problems" at? Edit. the one Cheap has on Pagoda is okay-ish, but Kaker's had much more info and stuff we could point users to Noticed that the Elder Scrolls subsection on the Arcade is gone... I spent a good time adding mods for Skyrim there

You can't see if a user has edited his post. This could create one of those moments when a troll posts shit, and the troll edits everything out, making anyone who isn't a staff scratching their heads if they don't know what was posted originally. I like the bug tracker. Prompting users to actually post a log on their first error report-post would be another good step for giving them faster support

I'm having issues with the Attack of the B-Team modpack.
Munaus replied to OctopusBeard's topic in Attack of the B-Team
Optifine author doesn't allow any modpack creator to add his mod to a public pack. That prevents Technic team of adding it. >this poster has solved it- 2 replies

That's cruel, making water evaporate. I just tested it on hexxit. I knew Nether blocks makes water evaporate but I thought using cobble would've helped.
-
The PM system is quite surprising, every time someone PMs me I get the message popping up in front of my face.
-
A bucket? Make a 3*3 cobble hole filled with water and you have a never-ending source that keeps refilling itself, if your intention is to cool machines with pipes pumping water

Guys, tread softly. Because you are stepping on my dreams Spawning dino's in tropic lands is every Jurassic Park-fanboy's hot dream. Don't go scowling on that, if you don't like the modpack, don't play it. I'm annoyed at you who are blessed with heavy game machinery and able to play this, because my poor lappy can't take it

Suggestion 1) The Bug support is free for people to post however they want, the "Submit bug report" standard is gone. Remedy this soon please? 2) Will Attack of the B-Team modpack receive its own bug subsection?
-
Good to hear about the first, I feared you guys were going "soft" on us Second: sounds reasonable, I have seen so very few people on other forums who use it for helping and tech/mod/modpacking support. I'm just a scared guy in a metal suit, afraid of changes.

Oh god no do we have signatures? Ugh... And titles for regular users should never be. It stinks of ego. - "you should follow my post because I'm an advanced member!" You're just a newbie, lolol!" This is why Technic forums are above MCforums, I really hope we don't start having the same thing here. Not saying our moderators can't hold the reigns here, just saying that titles based on post count should never exist. Edit. one feature I miss is that I can't see if any staff is online

I can see myself reading this topic. And I have all the smilies served on a plate... why do I still don't like this new forum Why can I see that I have zero warnings? If I have zero there shouldn't be any mention of warnings at all? Also, I have the title "advanced member". I thought you guys were against titles? I wouldn't mind it if it was removed, titles are silly and should only be reserved for admins, moderators and mod devs

Seemingly unfixable everything offline
Munaus replied to sniperhunter15's question in Technic Launcher
Could you please take the trouble to actually read my post? Then take the back-breaking effort to do what I ask? I can't help fixing it if you don't help me by helping you so we can both help eachother to help you! -
I have no idea what finches even are... If you crash by something on MC directly on loading the world then your best bet is to get MCEdit and move your character further away from that place.

Delete Hexxit modpack from %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> modpacks -> Remember to backup any saves before deleting!
-
You claim you have the latest, which is java7u51 Your error log tells me you use java7u10. Uninstall that old one. Post the launcher log, which can be found by clicking the Cog-Wheel button on the top right corner on the launcher window. Post the error log inside quote tags or paste it on pastebin.com and give us a link
-
Before starting the launcher, try right-clicking and choose "run as admin". If the modpacks are still offline, close the launcher and try again. If this doesn't work after 2-3 times, delete the .technic folder in %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic Remember to backup any saves in any modpack you may have! Now try right-clicking the launcher and choose Run as admin again. If that wont work then please do me a favour and choose one modpack from the Platform and try downloading it. When the download fails please post the latest error log so I can see if anything has changed.
-
Please post the proper error log, the one found by clicking the Cog-Wheel button on the top right corner on the launcher window. Post the error log inside quote tags or paste it on pastebin.com and give us a link Your java is also outdated, the latest is java7u51 Edit. Never mind, I saw you posted the proper error message up top. Delete Hexxit modpack from %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> modpacks -> Remember to backup any saves before deleting!

What? Who says the game needs more RAM? Please take a screenshot if there is such an error window appearing, I want to see that error! Hexxit is fine with 1-2GB of RAM, I run it with 2GB and Optifine, runs like a charm!
