I build a castle (sort of...) and fill it with loot. Hexxit is such a dangerous place with infernal mobs, even more so after I installed Mo'creatures and customMobSpawners. The last mentioned jumps up the spawn limit of all mobs - hostile and friendly - to ridiculous levels. I travel short distances and only raid towers within a certain distance from my base. Planning on building a second base further away

I read your OP. It sounded more like your graph had refreshed after a week and nobody downloaded after that, which is why I said nobody downloaded it. After the 3 downloads. Could also be with the technic server being temporary offline during Valentines day, which made that graph refreshed to zero

Best way is to try the Mojang launcher itself. If you can log inside that then use the same username/password on technic launcher

I don't know. Part of the reason is that Technic had to do change the thingamajiggs when Mojang migrated and changed their authentication server. Other part is that Technic made sure that cracked launchers wont work now and forever There is an other reason for this sudden server error that everyone is receiving, but I rather not raise the topic until I've heard what Technic team has to say

The Permgen was added in by the launcher on default on newer launcher builds. The only way to affect memory is to allocate memory to the launcher, anything between 1-2 gigs should be fine

If there is a bug, please post it on Bug Reports This is quite a juvenile behaviour. Grow up
