Clicking the windows button should give you a pop-up window, not send you to another site. Either internet explorer is being a derp or you might have malware on your computer. If you can have some patience and please get a Mozilla Firefox, install it and use that one instead.

What web browser are you running - Internet explorer, Firefox, Chrome? Do you have any adblocker or anti-malware program running with it?

You're making even less sense now. So you went to the correct address, the one link I posted, and clicked the windows button? The pop-up window that appears should say it saves the file, most likely on the downloads folder which can be seen when you get to your Computer (where you have all your harddrives displayed). After that you can easily drag it to desktop and run it.

Try disabling your antivirus and right-click your launcher and choose "Run as admin".

Please look at what version Tconstruct is on FTB and compare it to the version Hexxit has. It might be that Hexxit has an older version and this feature wasn't implemented before 1.6.4 MC mod version

Norton is a terrible AV that doesn't recognise what Technic is and will do anything to screw with it. Uninstall Norton. Get a better AV like Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast! Try the modpack again. If it doesn't work then please answer this: What bits is your OS and Java, 32 or 64?

That's not the full log. Try the modpack again, after it crashes go to the log folder and copy paste the latest file, copy the content between quote tags

What username and password are you using? The one you used with the minecraft launcher from Mojang or the one you logged in with on this forum? You use the same username and password on technic launcher as you use with the minecraft launcher from Mojang

As an Asus owner myself and soon-to-be buyer of a proper gaming tower for about 1300-1400€, I would strongly recommend buying a tower rather than Alienware. The .technic folder is always installed inside the pathway %appdata% -> Roaming, there is nothing weird about that. I'm glad you fixed it.
