Notice the first comment under the article also We learn a lot when it comes to minecraft. Almost all 1.7.2 mods are updated to 1.7.10
-
I wanted to try and fix it for you but that wont teach you anything... hmmm Go to .technic/modpacks/yourmodpackname/logs Is there a fml-client-latest.log file? Is it empty? What's at the end of that file? Did you try to google some parts of the error? Global question: why are you making a 1.7.2 modpack? 1.7.10 is a way better solution atm. believe me, I know this stuff
-
You need to download and install Flans mod and then download and install some content-packs and place them in the Flans directory (they are version specific, and some packs need other packs). Download any modern/popular modpack with flans and just open its folder to check how it's done.

technic launcher won't open vanilla mincraft
EvilOwl replied to ragnavok's question in Technic Launcher
Not all attachments work atm on the forums (this one doesn't for me). Upload the contents of that log to http://paste.ubuntu.com and post (only) the link. -
We need a log from .technic/logs post the contents to paste.ubuntu.com and then post the link here.
-
1. Uninstall it 2. Restart pc 3. Install it again 4. Restart pc 5. Try the launcher
-
I don't see a problem in that log. 99% that you have a different issue. Make a thread in the appropriate section and include a log (as a link to paste.ubuntu.com)

How do you make it so a resource pack is installed by default?
EvilOwl replied to needoriginalname's topic in Platform Pagoda
A normal technic zip modpack contains bin, mods and config. Your modpack should include bin, mods, config and resourcepacks. -
You have a environment variable set in the system and it's limiting your java memory to 512MB whatever you set in the launcher. Read on environment variables (just google it) go to your system settings and remove any "JAVA_OPTIONS" variable, restart pc. Report any findings.

Where do i download Hexxit 3.0.0c Client?
EvilOwl replied to DillyWilly's topic in Hexxit Discussion
Read the rules guys -
ttCore was recently renamed to EnderCore, check that.

We are not sure yet what's causing this but some users fixed their launchers by removing java 8 and installing java 7 This way also all the files associated with java are updated (or downgraded in this case) which could also fix any corruptions. We really don't know yet what's causing this. If you're not sure about the effects on your pc with downgrading just refresh your java 8: uninstall it, restart your pc and install it again from https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp be sure to grab a 64 bit version (all modern modpacks run on that). Report any findings.
-
Download and install the appropriate drivers for your graphics card.
-
Run it as administrator and if that fails try to downgrade your java to version 7. We are investigating that issue.

Where do i download Hexxit 3.0.0c Client?
EvilOwl replied to DillyWilly's topic in Hexxit Discussion
Hexxit 3.0.0c is no longer supported. There's a fresh Hexxit 1.7.10 version scheduled for releasing. Just wait for that one. -
Open the launcher options, click the video settings, disable stencil buffer. Close the options. Exit the launcher. Try again. Report any findings.

I don't know if this will count as a bug but...
EvilOwl replied to Ethiral's question in Tekkit Legends
Run the launcher, let it happen again. Go to .technic/logs and copy the contents of the latest file to paste.ubuntu.com, post the link. -
Can't download modpack but everything is supposed to be fine
EvilOwl replied to Gableb's topic in Platform Pagoda
I'm not gonna advertise any paid services here for obvious reasons but you need one, a cheap vps or something. Jump on the technic irc channel and ask around what people use. -

Logout of copy and try to open your copy link.... -
No GPU drivers installed or bad drivers.

Can you check something for me? Can you uninstall all javas and install only java 8 and recheck the launcher? With a pc restart ofc
-
Yes, remove the top folder and the api link is here
-
Heh, that;s not the link, your api link is actually: http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/creative-tech-pack and your problem is making that additional directory, it's not needed. Select 3 directories (mods, bin and config) and make a zip out of them.
-
Launcher problem, moving to Bug Reports. Try to run it as administrator and report back.
-
I need the modpack api link, the one that you paste in the launcher.
