I've got one idea, a challenge: move a vanilla Monster Spawner near your base. Watch out for MPS overheating, cool it with some addons. You can also make a Mystcraft age (take a link book linked to the overworld with you). If you are bored try to find a Division Sigil and make your way to the Deep Dark (hint: unstable ingots will kill you even in the powersuit). If you ever find yourself in a dark dimension with creepy sounds and red eyes chasing you - drop a post here and write about it

I didn't want to post this but my idea was exactly the same. Still 1.7.10 is not complete yet. There's really no workaround at this time. Computercraft for 1.7.10 is in early beta at this stage: This version is very much a work-in-progress, there are multiple known bugs, and some systems are incomplete. Use the download at your own risk, and don't expect world compatibility between versions. Use at your own risk.

Easier way to obtain emeralds: none. Harder way to obtain emeralds: Laser Drill with Lime Focus. Very power hungry. Like 20000RF/t hungry with all four prechargers. Liquiducts have a filter with Pneumatic Servo and a bucket of fluid in the filter settings. This needs to be done on the tank input. Store mob essence in a Drum. Later you can store it in the ME Network with Extra Cells. This needs ME network upgrades and additional parts. Edit: I remember when I've set a Laser drill with 8 Lime Foci and started doing something else the laser generated over 15 stacks of emeralds. It was all well spent in the village for Mystcraft Notebooks Then I've made a mystcraft age with gold ore spheres.... quarry everywhere The MPS suit helped a lot because the age was poisonous.

Are all the devices chunk-loaded?

1GB max memory size for a MCPC+ server? IMHO that's not enough.

Actually they spawn the vanilla way between levels 4 and 32.

Removing IC2 and RP3 wasn't fully compensated
EvilOwl replied to Hyperwræth's topic in Tekkit Discussion
I was also going to stop here but there's one more thing: Removing RP2 and IC2 is compensated with another mods. Sidenote 1: After the IC2 guys wanted to sue Tonius (the Simple Jetpacks guy) I deleted all IC2 instances from my HDD. Sidenote 2: After Eloraams 'awkward legal position' accusations with RP clones (like Project RED) and a line of disappearance abandoning support and development I would really reconsider using future RedPower versions for something more than a Creative world testing. -
Thanks. I guess that's resolved now as they co-exist in some modpacks.

PR Computercraft bundled cable compatability will not work in 1.6.4 with CC 1.6. They work with 4.4.7 build #46 and above for minecraft 1.7.10

Removing IC2 and RP3 wasn't fully compensated
EvilOwl replied to Hyperwræth's topic in Tekkit Discussion
I only seen it in 1.7.10. The blocks simply disappeared leaving holes underground. -
The 1.0.3c is available from some time now for 1.6.4...

Sidenote: Pahimar is now a father so his not focused on EE3.

This is the sad part: there's no news about MPS being updated or worked on.
-
RAMdisk is a good solution also. This needs regular backups and some tricks.

I think it's playerdata directory. Don't mess with your saves. You can get it worse.

It's 3am here and I just had an idea. Need to check tommorow for this. What's the bottleneck when FML loads mods? CPU or HDD? The HDD led on the PC/laptop has the answer. The task manager should help also. I need to sleep.....

[HELP] MystCraft Descriptive books not working on Tekkit
EvilOwl replied to Slimsta's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Descriptive book or a linking book? Colour? If descriptive check the file permissions for the dimension in question. The server will try to make a dimension directory (example. DIM_MYST34). Is there one on the server already? Is there space for this? Check configs for mystcraft on the server (everything in general set to true). -
[HELP] MystCraft Descriptive books not working on Tekkit

Post more info, versions, maybe screenshots. Verify in singleplayer. -
I think this is more complicated as "many" or "all". Some have updated, some have beta versions, some are dead or changing names and for some of them the author took a different road in life than modding. The above sentence is valid to any modpack going through Minecraft version update. Edit: If someone decides to make an alpha 1.7.10 tekkit test - count me in. I've already made a private collection based on tekkit modlist and had posted a lot issues to the authors.

Agree. Many mod authors decided to drop support for 1.6 with 1.7 releases.

If you want turtles you will need a diamond pickaxe - it's in the recipe (not damaged). You can also forget the turtles and go for the diamonds to make a quarry. The choice is yours. Turtles break obsidian instantly, so does the quarry. Turtles need some coal but the quarry needs a lot of power. Again the choice is yours. Yes. you will need a computer for turtles. It's in the recipe. For the crash: (if you are in singleplayer only) download simply jetpacks version 0.1.4.1 (precisely this version) and put the jar in your mods directory. Delete the old 0.1.4 version. You can read about it here. Pulverize all ores - yes. Smelt the dusts - not all. You will need electrum, invar and some other stuff later. Look up in NEI the recipes for conduits, energy cells and strongboxes (the hardened and better versions). The rest is up to you. You will need to make some mistakes in-game for it to be fun/little dangerous. Try to drink milk with a bucket.. Do it outside Not in the base.
