CoreProtect - Perfect AntiGrief Solution for Tekkit Servers!
Bangers replied to Mercury's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Sorry and I've got another, more important problem now. I believe someone's Steam Engines exploded, but the explosion was stopped (by Essentials?). It started causing lag in the area and eventually crashed the server. Using /co inspect in that 'blast' area caused severe lag. I managed to fix it by overwriting that part of the log using worldedit to create and then remove a large block of stone covering the supposed blast area. 2012-10-25 04:58:19 [sEVERE] Could not pass event EntityExplodeEvent to CoreProtect org.bukkit.event.EventException at org.bukkit.plugin.java.JavaPluginLoader$1.execute(JavaPluginLoader.java:304) at org.bukkit.plugin.RegisteredListener.callEvent(RegisteredListener.java:62) at org.bukkit.plugin.SimplePluginManager.fireEvent(SimplePluginManager.java:482) at org.bukkit.plugin.SimplePluginManager.callEvent(SimplePluginManager.java:467) at net.minecraft.server.Explosion.a(Explosion.java:202) at net.minecraft.server.World.createExplosion(World.java:1565) at net.minecraft.server.WorldServer.createExplosion(WorldServer.java:245) at net.minecraft.server.World.explode(World.java:1557) at buildcraft.energy.Engine.addEnergy(Engine.java:90) at buildcraft.energy.EngineStone.burn(EngineStone.java:66) at buildcraft.energy.TileEngine.q_(TileEngine.java:158) at net.minecraft.server.World.tickEntities(World.java:1190) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.w(MinecraftServer.java:569) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:467) at net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:492) Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread at java.lang.Thread.start0(Native Method) at java.lang.Thread.start(Unknown Source) at aux.aux.aux.AUx.Code(CoreProtectionEntityListener.java:157) at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor106.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at org.bukkit.plugin.java.JavaPluginLoader$1.execute(JavaPluginLoader.java:302) ... 14 more There were far more, including BlockBreakEvent and BlockFromToEvent. -

It didn't. Removing EE EMC values? Creating an economy.
Bangers replied to Bangers's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Sounds good, I'll check it out. You would have to set every renewable resource to zero. Beef, wool, bones, water, anything made by scrap boxes... everything. If there is one item that can be made infinitely, someone will use it to get infinite EMC. If you want to get rid of infinite EMC then you'll need to disable the transmutation tablet, condensor and collectors. -
Haha, I'd guessed the problem from the title alone.
-
I've used Tekkit single player a bit and never noticed any problems, but I've only ever used it for creative mode, testing out builds I want to work on in multiplayer.
-
Well blow me, you can disable the Philosophers Stone's right click abilities by putting the item ID into the Essentials config.yml under # Which items should people be prevented from using.
-
You made quite the jump there from 128 stacks of credits to just 64 credits. make sure you decide how you want it to work before you launch the server, it's tough to change later on without pissing off and screwing over some people.

CoreProtect - Perfect AntiGrief Solution for Tekkit Servers!
Bangers replied to Mercury's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I just tried doing a rollback and got a lot of these errors regarding Industrial Craft items not being rolled back: [iNFO] [iC2] ic2.common.TileEntityGenerator@1396126 (55,47,-221) was not added, isInvalid=true, worldObj=net.minecraft.server.WorldServer@9b643d Other items did roll back fine. I'm a CoreProtect noob so any info is appreciated as to why the IC2 items didn't roll back and what I can do to make sure they do roll back in future. Thanks. -
Try using a OV or OD scanner instead of a divining rod. I'm not sure how they work exactly... but they help find diamonds right?
-
The benefit of having what naturally occurring? I think the benefit of having chestshops with iconomy or whatever plugin you use is that you have a lot more control over the price range of items. Trade-o-mats is like giving everything for a sale a value of between 1 and 64. Iconomy money can also be used to pay for things like warps and changing the weather or whatever. Just for some clarification, I'm talking about using these shops in an admin shop setting, rather than player run stalls.
-
If you disable the recipe though, it's no different to having /money or whatever. Just means using trade-o-mats instead of chestshops. Chestshop being the better option in my mind.
-
Terribly if you have EE enabled. Infinite iron = infinite refined iron = infinite industrial credits. Using ores actually sounds like a pretty good idea, unless there's something I'm forgetting about.
-
I wish it was the minimum.
-
This is Tekkit! make a divining rod and learn how to use it.

How Do I Modify EU Power Output and EE's armor durability?
Bangers replied to Bopkasen's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Not possible, but there is a patch to change the values to get rid of the exploit. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/ee-blazerod-macerating-patch.22302/ -
Is there a change or remove the EMC values from items in Tekkit? So that they would not be transmutable. I'd like to make a working economy based on finite resources. Potentially oil and fuel, maybe something else. Is there a way to do it? And if it is possible, can you think of a better non-renewable resource to use as a currency? Something that won't stop the EE users from making whatever they want anyway. Tungsten maybe?

Did my Tekkit server make it to the open servers list?

Thanks buddy. It's a nice server and I just want to share it with people. -
[3.0.3/3.0.4] Crash from Teleport Pipe GUI
Bangers replied to matthewtyson's question in Tekkit Classic
I'm guessing there is no fix for this yet, on 3.1.2 now? Any pipe with a gui (teleport, insertion, distribution, diamond) causes a crash when flying, when wearing a solar helmet, when taking damage. -
Did my Tekkit server make it to the open servers list?

Well, she(?) has certainly been on since I sent the PM, but I've invited a couple more mods to the conversation. -
Did my Tekkit server make it to the open servers list?
Bangers replied to Hello30's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I did indeed. I PM'd Maiden, author of the Rules and Guidelines for Server Posts post. And I was sure I'd done everything right. I did take my time writing it and checked it against the rules and guidelines. I really don't know what was wrong with it. -
