most likely the modpack.jar in bin isn't the forge universal jar renamed. It would be helpful if you provided an API link to your modpack.

Issues downloading any modpack
The_Doctors_Life replied to ProcessedSpecimen's topic in Platform Pagoda
can you paste a log onto pastebin.com from the lancher? -
Why did you get rid of the thing that should what it was doing, I quite enjoyed that feature.

No, you'll have to clone a new build, lucky it'll only be that one config zip.

Any tips for a server op noob?
The_Doctors_Life replied to hedinn0707's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
use something like http://hastebin.com for logs -
I'm pretty sure at this moment in time you can't host on anything you don't have shell access to. However, if you add me on skype, I can hook you up into my install, 1TB of bandwidth should be enough, right?
-
Also please use a pasting service like http://hastebin.com for posting logs on the forum.
-
you zipped the modpack folder, the folders bin and mods should be on the top level of a zip, so when you extract them, there will just be those, not another folder to jump through. Also You want to include a config folder even in 1.7 and inn 1.8 config folders save from client issues due to configs, they can also make client-server stuff easier.

Someone Please make this modpack
The_Doctors_Life replied to Candybar______40's topic in Platform Pagoda
Sure, what do you want it to be called? -
"Caught exception from ThermalExpansion" There's your issue, I would suggest trying to remove it & see what happens. Never post full logs on the forums, please use a pasting service like http://hastebin.com and include the full log.

First of, your modpack is in the .rar format, the technic launcher can only unzip .zip files. Secondly that's an invalid API link, please provide a correct one. EDIT: you also have servarl "mod installers" meaning you didn't download the mods from the authors making it so people can be having viruses on thier pc, please remove those and get them from places like minecraftforum and curse. You haven't included a config folder, even on 1.7.10 packs you still need to include them whether you make changes or not.

Edit launcher and redistribute on personal server
The_Doctors_Life replied to pablo67340's topic in Platform Pagoda
It's on github and is Open-Source, but I would check the license to see if your allowed to. -
Depends on where your repo is set to, with file hosts you have to have the mod folder set so that going to repo.example.com/mods/forge/forge1.7.10.zip direct downloads it.
-
It must not be out yet then, anyhow, it is being worked on/ planned just wait for now.
-
it is, if you want you can probably find it in a beta build.

Solder: Error while using composer (installation)
The_Doctors_Life replied to Roversword's topic in Platform Pagoda
No problem -
I looked through your pack, you forgot to include the modpack.jar inside the bin file. put it in there, then upload the zip file to dropbox, it should work then.

How long does it take to register changes to a modpack?
The_Doctors_Life replied to Mittins001's topic in Platform Pagoda
The reason to this, is that the technic platform Caches everything for better site loading times. therefore what you change may take some time to update.
