  1. Personally, I'd expect the need to port to be made redundant by Forge.
  2. I'm fairly sure that most, if not all, the MCPC builds are actually Forge mods, so they're Forge side. Without Forge, they don't do anything.
  3. I was feeling lazy.
  4. Well you see, One solar panel makes one 1EU packet of energy per tick. There's 20 ticks per second, so your solarpanel will get you about 20 EU per second. A packet is like a little battery that is sent through your cable. A 1EU packet is a very small battery, and a 64EU packet is a bigger one. A tin cable can take packets smaller than 5EU, about, but it can take an infinite number of them. So, you could have 64 solar panels who would produce a total of 64EU/t(tick), but since that's 64 packets of 1EU, your tin cable won't burn up. However, if you use a medium-voltage solar array, your tin cable will burn. Why? Because it makes one, big packet of 64 EU. So, as long as you use regular panels, your tin cable can handle as many as you want. But remember that tin cables lose 1 EU per packet per 40 blocks, so if your solar fiwld is larger than 40 blocks, you'll lose your energy. Also, the Batbox produces LV, so you don't need a transformer yet, but you'll need one or more with the MFS and the MFSU. Here are the amounts cables can take : Tin : About 5EU packets Copper : 32EU packets (LV) Gold : 128EU packets (MV) Glass Fiber : 512EU packets (HV) Refined iron cable : 2048EU packets (ExtremeV)
  5. Posting in the Bugs section might be a start.
  6. What do you mean register? Tekkit doesn't need registering.
  7. By the next update, Bukkit should be gone, but most important plugins will be replaced (Hopefully). I guess you'll just have to check what's available when the update comes round.
  8. What server download removal? It's still there. Tekkit will update further, just not using Bukkit.
  9. Basically, two of the things which Tekkit uses, Bukkit(Servers which can run "Plugins", effectively server mods which don't need client mods) and Forge(The API which the mods in Tekkit need to run), have become incompatible in more recent versions of Minecraft. People aren't sure whether this will end up being a good or bad thing, since Forge is planning on releasing it's own version of Bukkit, which could be extremely useful, however could also seriously limit the amount of plugins available(Hopefully not though, since Forge is replicating some of the more important plugins for its users to run without needing Bukkit). So the bottom line is, future versions of Tekkit won't have Bukkit, but Forge will replace Bukkit. So no, Tekkit won't die, it will merely switch to a different type of server. Technic will be completely unaffected. As a side note, has anyone else considered that this will probably mean that we don't need mods to be ported to Bukkit anymore, so we can use mods without waiting for a newer version on a Bukkit port? *Cough*ICBM*Cough*
  10. Dutcher, your server is a different version of Tekkit to your client. I'll assume you're on the reccomended build of Tekkit, in which case you just need to find the download of the server version 1 before your Tekkit.
  11. Ok then, a mysterious thread has appeared in the TBR forum's applications page. Mysteriously. With absolutely nothing to do with me. Honest. Would I lie to you? Of course it has nothing to do with me, why would I do that? hmm.... Uhhh... Could someone send me the IP to the server? I've been accepted, but it's not much use if I can't join.
  12. It's not in Technic either anymore. Not completely sure why, but probably because of versions. You probably just installed it yourself there :)
  13. For best results, weaponize the uranium and supply redstone current. Expect rapid radiation tan within moments!
  14. I'm considering applying to join, and now would probably be a good time if the map's being reset. Is it ok if I can only get on every weekend?
  15. Doesn't matter anymore, problem is solved.
  16. Other way round. 2 extra for silver, 2 less for redstone.
  17. That's because the cards are based on the core's location.
  18. I'm fairly sure that at least most of the mods he suggested don't work with Tekkit anyway.
  19. Well, if it's not showing you that it's online but is still starting you either need to check the local IP or check whether anything's blocking the connection,
  20. You press the launch button again...
  21. That probably means that either his or your internet connection is bad.
  22. http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Ports_for_1.2.5 Go to that link, press Ctrl-f, type in "Additional Pipes", then just download that, then replace the one in your server's mods folder with it. Might also be an idea to delete the AdditionalPipes.cfg file in the Buildcraft Config folder.
  23. Then try re-installing the mod, see if that helps.
  24. Fair enough, I just wanted to link you to the post about why it was removed, and wasn't really thinking about what it was replaced by. Like Omicron says, Transformers can be installed manually, and the Power Converters can be installed into Technic. They're both compatible, so no problems.
  25. Hmm... Have you tried replacing them? you could also try setting both to receive.
