  1. Atomic Science could be fun as well. But I'm kinda "eh" over the whole Solar Panel thing. I was glad that Solar Arrays didn't exist anymore, since it was literally place & forget and get free energy. The whole game started revolving around them, and I'm not sure if adding Solar Panels again would be a good idea. Just my two cents.
  2. I'm not trying to fix your problem, I just hate it when people come to complain, and then they do it in the wrong place too. If your insurance company screws you over, do you run into a car dealership to yell at the dealers? Honestly, if it bugs you so much, throw the thing into lava and cheat the crafting materials back.
  3. The biggest advantage I see in it is compactness and easy transportation. You can link two dimensional doors, anywhere, in whatever dimension or location they may be. Also, you can have a single door in your compact house which leads to a huge machine room.
  4. Sure, you get your reward if you get killed. But you're teleported 40000 blocks away, which will always be in an ocean. Also, how is it "cheating"? Might as well consider MystCraft cheating then, as well. Just because it's called Technic doesn't mean it has to only have technical mods. ThaumCraft features magic, but it was still in some older packs. Gah, you got me there.
  5. Argh, I always forget about GalactiCraft.
  6. Ah, now I see what you mean. But I'm pretty sure he was trying to pump oil, which it turned out to be sludge. Honestly, what's the point of oil fabricators anyway? They need energy, and produce oil. What are you going to do with that oil? Produce energy?
  7. Yeah, MCPC+ tends to bug out if you use MultiVerse. If your worlds actually create, the sky will be black once you enter them and they will eventually just unload.
  8. Yes, it does. Not sure how that's relevant, though.
  9. There's still some trap rooms I will probably never be able to bypass without breaking/placing blocks, though. Mainly the long hallway with the walls and floor closing in and out.
  10. Put it in modpack.jar, not minecraft.jar.
  11. Dimensional Doors don't provide anything? Do you even play?! They're incredibly handy for compact bases, and if you have a Rift Signature, you can make two doors anywhere, that will link to each other.
  12. I turned the conversion of MJ to Joules up from 1 MJ=1 to something like 1 MJ=5. IMO, this should be a default. It takes a complete Redstone Energy Cell or two to charge a small portion of my suit. Whereas in Voltz, I don't need that much energy. Exactly, IC2 was more like a race for the best Compact Solars. I like this a lot better.
  13. Well, problem is, venting isn't going to do a lot of good here. Go complain to the modders, I'm sure their response will not differ a lot from ours. BuildCraft for 1.5.1 was kind of a Beta and riddled with bugs anyway. As a Java programming beginner, I can tell you how difficult it can be to find and disable one item, especially when you're in a hurry. You can always cheat the materials back with NEI. I wouldn't feel too bad about it, personally.
  14. Well, this IS kind of advertising. I believe there's a section for that.
  15. I never really understood how Applied Energistics works, and when and why it's useful.
  16. Does the OP really think the only source of power is oil? OP, I suggest you go to http://wiki.technicpack.net/Tekkit and read the FAQ at the bottom.
  17. I'm not sure, but couldn't you use something like ComputerCraft and OpenCCSensors to detect how many animals there are, then turn the Breeder off once the count hits 5 or something?
  18. MaxHawkes is banned for not understanding the ban game, and not understanding the meaning of the word "ninja'd". That is, unless he took at least a day to write that post.
  19. 25% is not as bad as you may think. It's mainly to make conduits more attractive. If Tesseracts had less energy loss, then people would just use them to transfer energy 5 blocks away. Tesseracts are meant to work over either long distances or across dimensions.
  20. Okay, go ahead. Not sure why you're complaining here if it's so easy!
  21. I'm pretty sure you can cook and eat Meat Ingots.
  22. Ooh, nice! What's the Block Smasher, though?
  23. Let's see you make a better mod, then.
  24. Tekkit doesn't come with Bukkit anymore. You'll have to use MCPC-Plus to get Bukkit plugins.
  25. Yeah, it still works. You can do that as well. Just use an Aqueous Accumulator and Glacial Precipitator to create Ice at a minimal cost of energy. If you place Ice in the Nether, and break it while a solid block is under it, it'll create a water source block. If you place the Ice diagonally in the Quarry hole, you'll need 9 Ice blocks for a 9x9 quarry.
