I see the performance argument tossed out many times, but it honestly doesn't make sense. Maybe it has to do with how much RAM is allocated by default by both launchers. In all respects, if you were to put FTB's mods into the Technic Launcher, your FPS should be identical to your FPS when using the FTB Launcher.

Maybe it's Matmos? Try pressing F7 to disable it, see what happens.

Would punctuation kill you? People often seem to confuse Collectors with Condensers. Collectors were the main bad thing of EE2, and Condensers were just slightly too easy.

But what would be the point? What would they make that's somehow sorely missing, yet not already possible right now?

His response was "Well then they changed that yesterday". He then spouted something about "Tekkit has permissions but isn't licensed" or whatever BS. Some people are just.... what.

Too bad I don't have a lot of friends who play Tekkit, let alone people who know about Hexxit. In fact, one of them recently came up to me and said "You should switch to FTB, Tekkit is illegal and hacked paypal and steals 90% of modder donations". Heads will roll. Soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if FTB came with something similar to the Technic Platform, but with one small twist or something.

That's another huge plus for me: The platform. I doubt FTB could ever trump a move like that.

Because those belonged to IC2, which is not in the new Tekkit. Modular Powersuits has a Jetpack, however. As for the mining laser, there's no replacement for that yet.

I personally prefer Tekkit, as they seem to put more effort into their packs. I avoid the Mindcrack pack simply because of GregTech. As for the DW20 pack, I might as well play my personal modpack, they're basically the same.

AE isn't exactly comparable with EE3. In AE, you're basically storing your items in bytes on disks, but you can't transmute or anything. It just allows for really, really compact storage and portability. You can store items on disks, and take them somewhere else, for example. The simplest thing what makes it so good is the ME Access Terminal. It allows you to access all of your chests and drives at once, if your chests are attached to the same network. No more searching 5 different chests to see where you left that String. Here's a 4-part video tutorial.

Are those even in Tekkit yet? Regardless, Biofuel probably still wins if it hasn't had a nerf yet.
