Disable your firewall and antivirus, and try again. Or add an exception for Java and the Technic Launcher.

Modular power suits and invisibility

Nope. You'll have to ban it, unfortunately. -
Yeah, I've noticed that as well. No idea why that is.

The Intel Integrated Graphics simply aren't good enough. If you have a dedicated NVidia card, you could force Java to use it in the NVidia control panel. But if you don't, then you're outta luck.
-
You need to start Tekkit.jar. Ignore minecraft_server.jar.

There was some sort of file you had to delete if you wanted to play 1.0.0 worlds in 1.0.1, but I forgot what it was.

I still wonder why two conduits, both set to Blue, still transfer minute amounts of energy (5% to be exact, which is also the energy loss of Conduits). But yeah, you need two conduits, and the one the Engine is attached to needs to be right-clicked with a Crescent Hammer so it turns Orange.

Was the world generated in Hexxit 1.0.0?

I don't think this modpack was even made for PvP. It was supposed to be more akin to Terraria gameplay (Grab a few friends and go exploring and fighting monsters and bosses). If you want to quickly dispel certain debuffs, then carry a Splash Potion with you at all times which is the opposite of the debuff. So if you get the Weakness debuff, toss a Splash Potion of Strength at the floor.

I'm most proud of a self-sustaining Biofuel setup I have running, with the energy going into a Laser Drill, and some of it in a Quarry. I'm using the Quartz for a huge AE setup.

This is already known. Still a pretty large oversight, though. A solution would be to have the items already have enchantments, instead of "Right click to enchant".

The only significant thing that's happened or going to happen in the recent updates is the modding API, which looks like it might actually get finished. It'll probably be kind of a disappointment, though. I know Mojang too well.

Lua isn't very hard to learn. Just follow a few tutorials, there's lots on the ComputerCraft forums too. Out of all the languages, Lua is probably the easiest to learn. It always seems to follow me around, too. I used to program Wiremod Expression2 logic gates in Garry's Mod using Lua. Then, my school project leader made me program a game in Love2D (Uses Lua), and now I use it extensively in CC too.

Pretty much. Most people here dislike it due to the amount of tedium it adds, and the fact that some of the author's actions can be pretty dick-ish. It does feature a few cool machines, though.

Yeah. If you typed "lumber 9", the lumber program would search for trees in a 9x9 radius in the front-left of it, cut them down, and re-plant saplings.
-
I was under the impression that the Spoutcraft launcher was based on the Magic Launcher.
-
I actually made a program like excavate but for trees a while ago, back in Tekkit Lite. I lost the program, though. I'll see if I can write a new one.

Yeah, MultiMC (What the FTB Launcher is based on) supports that stuff natively. Magic Launcher (What the Technic Launcher is based on) doesn't.
-
Then I guess there's no way of discharging Jetpacks. If you don't mind a little bit of cheating, you could just dispense empty jetpacks. Immibis Tubestuff is included in Tekkit Lite, and it comes with a Duplicator. RP2 Tubes and BC Pipes see it as a valid chest, but the item inside never goes away. It's basically made for stuff like this.
-
Would be a bit hard, considering how MultiMC is built to do that, but the Magic Launcher isn't. Although it would just be a matter of moving jars around, except automated.
-
First of all, you might want to read the rules. Charging Benches withdraw power from the objects in them if activated with a lever. Not sure if this also works on Jetpacks, but it's worth a shot.

I'd be surprised if you can name one mod which works with ModLoader but not FML.
-
Really? Awesome.

Using Birch Trees and MFR Block Breakers would work wonderfully. Just put a stationary turtle down too, which checks if there's free space for another birch sapling, and have it place the sapling once there's space.

How much RAM did you actually allocate in the launcher options? Also, which version of Java do you have?
