  1. Why can't you use the glasses right? Seems to work fine for me.
  2. 1 GB?! That's an outrage! That is not nearly enough for my new FeedTheTekkiUltraHackSlashHoard Ultimate 5.0 pack, featuring every single version of every single mod ever released! I demand more space!
  3. All official packs in the Technic Launcher have permissions. Even so, why do you care? Permissions are a private thing between the modpack author and the modder, nobody else (As much as CJ likes to claim otherwise). You ARE biased. Saying "I'm just stating the truth" confirms this.
  4. Do you have any antivirus or firewall? If so, disable it, delete .technic again and try to wait at least 5 minutes for the stuff to download.
  5. AE is awesome, but my lack of Certus Quartz always annoys me.
  6. Tekkit now has a small mod made by sct, called Simple Power Systems. It features a makeshift battery box, as a low-end replacement for the Redstone Energy Cell. KingLemming was also working on a cheaper alternative to the Redstone Energy Conduit. It's being worked on, just be patient.
  7. Backup any saves you may have, and delete the "tekkitmain" folder in .technic.
  8. I'd say Tekkit Main is more steampunk than Tekkit Classic, if you want to go down that route. Just look at IC2, and compare it with Thermal Expansion and Buildcraft's practical way of doing things.
  9. Fact: 106% of all statistics are pulled out of someone's ass on the spot.
  10. More like IC2 is already dead, and the rest of the team have become necromancers. IC2 is a zombie. It's showing signs of life, but it's dead.
  11. See, the problem is here that no one said "Go put it in yourself you son of a dirt bag". You got a very neutral response. And you don't get extremely polite answers just for being new, you get regular answers like everyone else.
  12. No one was being rude. What was he supposed to say? Something like this?
  13. Seriously, what? You don't understand how Bukkit plugins work. They don't add new content like mods do. If you want others to play on your Tekkit server, they need the Technic Launcher. Honestly, how much work is that? So if you own Quake 3, you expect to be able to join a Call of Duty server? It doesn't work that way. That analogy doesn't work. You can disable Tekkit's content just like in Grid 2, by hosting a Vanilla server instead of a Tekkit server. If they added an option to disable all mods, it would be extremely redundant and unnecessary. Bukkit plugins can only do stuff with content that's already there. Mods add new content. Honestly, I don't see the problem. Do you expect Minecraft to just poof all the mods out of thin air?
  14. Honestly, I don't know what the problem is. Installation literally takes one click. Do you want them to cut it down to zero? The Technic team isn't some magical group of wizards who can somehow make clients automatically download mods, they just put modpacks together (And occasionally put a homemade mod in).
  15. Biofuel would probably be the best way, as Magmatic Engines would simply be redundant. An easier way to make lava is to use a Magma Crucible. Put in some Cobblestone/Stone/Netherrack (Netherrack is preferred), supply some power using a Steam Engine, and you have free lava.
  16. That wasn't even rude. Now, if he had said "Oh my god, not this fucking question again, just add it in yourself you lazy fucker", you'd have a point.
  17. Copy the "world" folder out of the server folder, and place it in your .technic/tekkitclassic/saves folder. Please note that this won't copy the Nether or The End.
  18. Yeah, you could. But any self-respecting person would have a very reliable power setup that would take ages to drain.
  19. The main problem about solar panels is that they're completely passive. Even if you make them not very powerful, people will just spam millions of them.
  20. The quarry will infinitely waste time and energy trying to constantly mine the forcefield away. It will eventually get stuck and move between two of the forcefield blocks.
  21. Make sure you've selected "Tekkit" in the launcher, not Tekkit Lite.
  22. Less RAM would probably work better.
  23. Yeah, I think they're pretty much impenetrable now. Try using ender pearls on one of the corners, or stand directly below their forcefield and relog. You used to be able to block out the sun, but solar power doesn't exist anymore.
  24. I will shed manly tears of joy when it updates.
