Yeah, I think you're not properly closing your server. Try using /stop to stop your server, then close the window or shut down your PC.

Thanks guys, managed to find a good solution. Used Redstone pipe and a signal lengthener, so the engines keep running as long as there's items in the pipes. To start the quarry up, I just use an Obsidian Transport Pipe and throw a block of cobble in there or something.

I've set up a few quarry systems, and they're working pretty great so far. The problem is, the quarries keep slurping up energy after they're done. Is there any way to stop them from doing this, like making the quarry give off a redstone signal once it's done?

I've been running a Tekkit server for a while now using MCPC+ for a few Bukkit plugins and multiworld support, and I've noticed that player clients sometimes crash when using MystCraft or Dimensional Doors to go from one world to another. This mostly happens when the server has started and people first try to use a portal. When using Bukkit plugins to teleport, everything works correctly. Here's a relevant part of the crash log. I couldn't get the whole thing. I think this is due to how MCPC+ doesn't assign fixed dimension ID's to Bukkit worlds, so is there any way to assign them anyway? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

But does that work for other people as well, even after a few days? I'm pretty sure Mediafire is smart enough to only provide a temporary link.

They don't have a clue how conduits work, and they always mess up engine orientation.

In times like these, I'm glad that I learned Thermal Expansion and MineFactory Reloaded in Tekkit Lite. A lot of my friends kept saying I should use IC2 stuff because it's "better", and now those same friends refuse to switch to the new Tekkit because they don't understand TE.

Yeah, TE looks a lot nicer and more minecraft-y.

Bronze is from Tinkers Construct. Maybe it's also featured in Atomic Science, I dunno.

That doesn't work in the Smeltery of Tinker's Construct, which is the only way to make bronze.

Take the .jar file you just downloaded, and put it in the same folder as the Tekkit server files and such. The folder containing launch.bat. Now, rename Tekkit.jar to something like oldtekkit.jar. Rename the jar you just downloaded to Tekkit.jar, then double-click launch.bat.

Download this. It's the latest 1.5.2 version of MCPC-Plus. Replace Tekkit.jar with that and you should be able to load Bukkit plugins. And don't run minecraft_server.jar. IIRC, it just loads a vanilla server and will probably mess up your world as well.

WorldEdit isn't going to work with the standard server. You'll need MCPC+ to load Bukkit plugins.

Try running Tekkit.jar. If that doesn't work, then you are simply out of luck.

Why can't you use a .bat file? Try run.sh instead of run.bat if batch files aren't working due to your OS.

Try updating to the latest beta version of LWJGL, I'm getting the feeling that LWJGL's input handler is causing this.

Your problem probably has nothing to do with RAM. Java will take as much as it needs (and then some), until the max is reached.

Where did you put TechnicLauncher.exe, and where did you install Java? Give full file paths, please. For example: C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe

CoFH Core handles ore generation for all Vanilla ores. Not sure about other ores, if any. Ores are configured to spawn on all levels, so you don't spend too much time deep in the mines. This pack is all about the surface.

Delete the whole hexxit folder in .technic, disable your firewall and antivirus, and try again. If it still hangs, just leave it for a few minutes, see if it progresses.

IIRC, WorldGuard has a "use" flag. If you deny this, you won't be able to throw dynamite.

Half the challenges are "Don't cheat", and I never cheat in survival anyway.

Try updating Dimensional Doors, the later versions fix a lot of the lag issues.
