Disable your antivirus. It's probably blocking some of the download. And simple fixes are usually found in the COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS sticky.

The downgrading solution works for some people, and is a temporary fix. Rather than trying to find a real solution, most players prefer the temporary fix it yesterday solutions.

This is a dead thread. While you may help someone who has had this problem, you shouldn't do it by posting on dead threads.

Temporary fixes such as using the .jar and downgrading your Java work for some people for a short period of time. OP, this could just be a result of you trying to fix the first problem you encountered.

That solution hasn't been working for people with the issue (at least the threads that I've read). OP, I would try it just to be sure.

This seems to be a common problem recently. Try all of the basic troubleshooting options for the launcher (delete/reinstall). Let me know if it worked. Trying to find a solution, but there doesn't seem to be any real link between the people having this problem.

1. No PMing Admins or Mods with bug reports. - You will not get special private help. We don't have time for that. 2. No duplicate or redundant threads - first check to make sure the same or similar thread does not already exist. This includes stickied information. Duplicate threads will be deleted. 3. No low effort posts - "Hello I'm new here!" "FIRST POST!" "THREAD IS WIN!" "HELP ME FIND UH SERVER" All examples of why you should have been thrown back. 4. Don't be a dickbag - (A bag of dicks) All rules that you have broken, OG Cubbs. As GreenWolf13 implied: we provide the information to people who are dumb and do not read the rules and stickied threads. The solutions we provide are as easy as 1-2-3. Provided those we give them to follow our directions. Sorry you feel as though we failed you. You were a complete jerk to all of us. We tried to help you, and I personally tried to help as many people as I could, but I do not begin to help people if they have broken the rules or provide crap posts. I try to correct people so they either a. don't make the same mistake twice, or b. apologize in an attempt to not be punished by the forum staff. This is a problem I do not know the solution for, it does not seem to be just one or two people not understanding how to troubleshoot. You shouldn't get so upset that we have not fixed it. I don't have the problem, so I can't tinker with it to try to find a solution. For all I know you could be leaving out something vital that would solve the puzzle. If I had the problem in front of me, I would be looking for Java related coding issues as well, not just launcher issues.

The fix is to make the launguages all English, so there is no translation issue (I think, I did not find this fix, so I could be wrong)

Delete every version. Then reinstall the version correct for your system.

I don't know if this is a multipost or not, but (http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/technic-launcher-has-stopped-working.26765/#post-212920) is the same problem posted by you. If a mod sees this you may get in trouble for multi posting. It's kind of against the rules.

OP, have you progressed beyond the Mojang screen? If so, please post this in the correct modpack bug reporting section. OG Chubs, please don't post "same problem" posts on peoples threads. Quite often it's not the same problem. When a solution presents itself and works, let the OP know as a reply to his thread. Otherwise, try creating your own thread. :)
