In order for the launcher to not violate Mojangs TOS you need a legit mc copy to use it. The only other way we could make it a one button install is by passing out a pirated Version of Minecraft to thousands of people every time they downloaded a pack. You can imagine we don't want to do that. If you want to use mod packs and have things be easy, you'll just have to buy the game. Free or easy. Your choice. We don't care which.

These are mojangs problems, not ours. Offline mode is the same as the normal mc, and needing to connect to mcs auth servers to play online is not something we have control over. "A new launcher update" won't fix these issues.

If he had read the common problems thread or any of the stickies or anything at all before posting, he wouldn't have made this thread.

I'm in favor of minecraft fan fiction on here. Even if it's bad it makes for hilarious dramatic readings. If it's good then bonus I guess. Keep it up.

Yeah, if you need this level and amount of help, you're better off looking for the threads it has already been discussed in rather then hoping people will post it all again. You're only going to get what you want by doing a little work and looking for answers. No one will want to play on your server if you can't do things yourself.

You never said anything about searching manually. If the launcher runs then it's on your computer, in the spot it's supposed to be. It can't just "not exist" on your computer. You are just struggling to locate it. C:\Users\<User Name>\%AppData%\Roaming\.techniclauncher You need to enable the showing of hidden folders for it to show up most likely.

Have you actually enabled it to show hidden files? Theres a setting. Aslo I bElieve the common problems thread tells you the direct path to the folder. Please take a look at that and follow the path directly instead of searching your HD. Do both those things!

The work Agelian did on the original spout launcher made it drastically better. He codes for Amazon and makes the big bucks so he sure as hell isn't "bad at code". He's closer to a "genius at code". Like was said, minecraft never runs the same on any two computers. He can run his mouth all he wants, but he'd get a lot more mileage just from playing with graphics settings or disabling mods he doesn't need, swapping optifine versions (there's three) etc. No matter what, we can't make it run perfectly on every single persons computer. We set it up so it will work out of the box for most people. The best standardized settings we can manage. The fact that he has a roided out computer is probably the reason it doesn't work right for him. Because minecraft is an awfully coded and unoptimized game that doesn't properly take advantage of higher performance hardware. Unless he can go "aha!" and point out an actual clear reason why something we've "coded" is ruining his life then he's just making noise for attention. "Hey, I installed a very trimmed down version of technic without all the same mods and I tailored it better to the specs of my computer. It runs better then a technic install did for me, I CAUGHT UUUUU! THOSE TECHNIC GUYS R FOOLS!!!" :thumbsup:
