Nice try, but nope. I bought a computer four months ago, and even when it was clear, it never boot up in less than a solid 15 seconds, and now that I use it, it's even more. I don't like macs at all, for various reasons, but my mom's macbook SSD is filled with stuff at 75%, and it boots up in about 4 seconds, ready to go.

In usual, people get a big HD for storing all their data, and a small SSD with it, only for the start up operations and the software, so your computer starts fast but you still have a lot of space for not too much cash. I'd say that's a good compromise.

This is all true and right and would be awesome, but the Technic team can't do anything about it, like warpspeed said. I think I saw something about multi-coring stuff in Optifine though, so it might be possible.

Drop that attitude. It won't get you anything good here, other than an unfriendly prejudice from others. When everything needed is out, there will be a new version of the server, but there's really no way to know, with how unpredictable the modders can be. There is still all this drama about Bukkit going, so it is quite possible the next version will take a long time to come out, but it won't be the Technic team's fault. Also, as a rule of thumb, I don't consider anyone a reliable resource for anything Technic-related other than myself and the admins.

I disagree, The condenser only lets you transform anything into anything, but not create anything new. And remember, the mod is called Equivalent Exchange, so there'll probably some way to do the same thing, only it'll be more balanced.

EE is getting a general overhaul. The system of energy collectors and condensers is being removed to make place for a more gratifying system.

I personally prefer IC2 over EE2, but since EE3 is coming, I'm not so sure anymore. Who knows, might be EE3 is technical enough to be as interesting as IC? I can't wait to see.

"Crème de menthe". I find it utterly disgusting, but it has a funny color and let's me tint my tongue without eating super-sugary candies.

Gas stations and driveways are colorful, so I'd use colored foam again, a lot of red I'd say. Other than that, it's all about transferring this kind of atmosphere into minecraft.

Railcraft's Concrete and Stone Posts block make for really good looking highways, if you ask me. Also, I would use Industrial Craft's foam and color it to make the colored stripes. For the asphalt, I'd use basalt, or maybe obsidian. But rather basalt.

7.3.4 is the version. And that is not quite how it works. It is true that this part of the modding community doesn't appreciate Technic very much, and it's true as well that they can't legally do anything against us. However, the problem here is that what makes our position defensible against them is that we're actually innocent. If we start actually using mods against the will of the modders, we'll be falling into the dark side and be guilty of what we're accused of, which would bring even more haters to us, haters that we don't want or need. Technic actually has a version updated to 1.4, it is simply not recommended, but you can play it and it works fine. FTB isn't going to collaborate with the Technic team any time soon, sadly, due to... "Diplomatic difficulties".

Uh? That post really wasn't that bad, he said far more inflammatory stuff in the past. I highly doubt he's been perma-banned for this. That's my opinion, anyway.

I think what he meant is that "mod copyrights" are BS since the mods themselves are on unstable ground. In other words, one can do whatever he wants without fear of legal retaliation. But it's still douchy to modify and release a content without even asking, I would at least try.
