  1. oh, I know I can. I'm just not ready to deviate from plain technic atm. Been learning EE today and having fun. Millenaire was interesting, but I didn't take it for much beyond a place to throw mining waste. I did want to explore better dungeons more, that was cool.
  2. I was wondering about the status of millenaire and betterdungeons. I understand they were dropped due to lag issues? Is this a permanent drop? Is it a pre MC1.3 reasoning with the SMP compatibility mandate? This isn't another SS case is it?

  6. thats true. Of course if it were me, i'd include that last functioning version of forestry simply to spite him too as it was released openly and let him try to legally come after it :)
  7. um, i dont think anyone could ever retroactively make something open source NOT. You could make changes and release a newer version that isn't just fine though. And frankly, for the good of the userbase if he did that Mojang should legally go after him for altering their published non-opensource code to retaliate if he were to act in such a manner.
  8. well, it doesn't bother me that much either as I had been fiddling in ssp tekkit trying out various things waiting on my isp fixing something. I had only just started on technic last week and finally built my first antimatter relay so :/
  9. so I gave up on finding a decent map about 15 redo's later. I've wandered and wandered on countless maps and not one npc village let alone a millenaire village. I checked my modloader and its telling me millenaire and better dungeons have both loaded but i have yet to see any sign of them in game. So far, oil is much more scarce now for some odd reason. And there's alot more artic generating and less desert. 130 views and nobody else is fiddling?

  11. ok, 9 new maps so far and not one I like yet saw some new purple tainted stuff and blue silverwood trees.

  13. Since we have the new update what is everyone planning to do today? I'm starting anew once again. I was just starting in on learning the real workings of the EE mod too Are you/do you take the same starting approach? Macerator, extractor, compressor, e-furnace, generator and then proceed to whatever?
  14. I'm disappointed myself. i just built my first antimatter relay. I get to about the same point in base design and always end up restarting new maps :)

    no no, the exit part. i'm pumping it fine. it's when I get to the surface it wont exit a waterproof bc pipe thats hanging in the air over a pit.

    I was hoping to use BC pipes to move lava up from below ground to a reservoir on the surface made out of cobblestone, but for some reason it doesn't exit the pipe. Am I missing something or is this not possible?

    That thing breaks alot don't it? TBH, some things should give you a pop up message in game as it is. Like digging/breaking a block with a tool that will break it but not drop anything should say that to you. I would never have known there was a lossless mode for the e-wrench had i not seen it mentioned here. I simply never thought to read about the wrench having modes. Sure, I go and look for info on machines themselves or plumbing etc...but something you wouldn't think would have more details you don't think to go look up the "what's this button do?" features.

  21. the technic launcher is designed to run independant copies of minecraft for use with tekkit, technic, and vanilla, as well as some others...since they al could possibly be different versions of the jar's and mods used.
  22. Really cool, but isn't the explosion of a persons failed reactor attempts destroying their entire base far more enjoyable and laughable then simply pasting a schematic in? I know I crack up every time I blow up a reactor. Yet somehow creepers blowing up destroying work is wrong? What is the function of the creeper anyway? Built-in auto-griefer for ssp? LOL.
  23. I run a different 128x pack and it works fine. I'm allocated at 1Gb and java refuses to let me allocate more even though I have 4Gb in the system and plenty free to give it the max 2Gb that 32bit java can use.
  24. it actually did it worse on his 64 than 128 :/ i'm still working on my own. I want it to feel more like 2nd Ed AD&D and not cartoony like so many packs make it look.
