reread the report format sticky. It tells you how to get the log you need. Did you actually go down to a pre-anvil version of minecraft? or did you just change the file name and expect it to work? it will still need to be converted to the new version otherwise.

Well, then you need to find your Java runtime exe, and tell it to use the GPU, because the launcher assembles the jar, and then launches the Jar using java.

You need to tell it to always use the GPU when dealing with either Java in general, or do so for modpack.jar and minecraft.jar in the .techniclauncher folder. The launcher is only active for a moment, after that it just launches a special version of minecraft.

You need to redownload the launcher file.

I don't think you understand how much less useful that is. You can't tab between minecraft and minecraft.

You mac folks should google more. Java 7 for mac is totally functional and available, and you can force it to work yourself, apple just hasnt pushed out as the regular version because _____________________

Now, I suggest a full clean up of all your minecrafty bits. just completely cleanse it. .techniclauncher, the launcher exe, and java. Kill it all and start clean on it, thne give us a new log if it still fails.

It's definitely not on our end. The vast majority of those posts either get solved within a few hours, or are plain old user error. Things like not downloading the newer launcher. You'll notice that none of the regulars, mods, or long time players are having this issue, it's just new people who aren't used to how things operate. If you really want to get this fixed, you'll stop telling us to check the hosting, and actually cooperate with us.

Oooh jeez, nice catch there buddy. The only current solution is to either try to use an older tekkit (not recommended) or wait for it to update to 1.2.5 or whatever we're at when it catches up.

You should do some searching. This has been solved by other people before, you just need to force your mac to get the new java. This is a pain because Mac hates it when you try to make it work like a regular computer.

Alright, Since i've never heard of your AV, you may need to disable it. Have you tried using the .jar?
