Do you have any items from Equivalent Exchange on your character? Some of them will consume redstone dust when they are activated.

From this thread: "You have a plugin (or more than one) blocking them. Allow '[ComputerCraft]' and '[ComputerCraft] Turtle <turtle ID>]'." Does that help with your problem?

Industrial Craft 2 and Red Power 2 both add those ores. That is why you see duplicates. They should be interchangeable, are they not working that way in your world?

I believe that means you need to install Java 1.7. Try that and don't forget to post your results here afterwords.

i cant play on tekkit, it just comes some random thing like
thebird replied to EivindThaMan's question in Technic Launcher
Have you read the Common Problems thread? That thread will have information on how to find your logs and various versions. You are more likely to get help if you follow the bug reporting format better as well. Thank you for summarizing your error log at least, it makes helping you so much easier when you take out all that dang information. -

Could you post a link to your logs? This thread details how to find your logs and the format for posting an error report. Also, you aren't supposed to sign your posts. You might wanna get rid of that before a mod sees it.

You are planning on getting a mic before you record stuff right? I doubt many people will want to watch otherwise, I know I personally don't like that kind of video at all. Also, why do you want to make videos like this Duncan person is already doing? I am not trying to be insulting but what is the incentive to watch your videos over his? Would it not be better for you to do something more original?

Does anyone here play games like Construction-Simulator 2012 or Farming Simulator 2011? Games like these sound so stupid to me. Like with Farming Simulator, you (obviously) pretend to be a farmer. You do things like plow fields and plant crops. Yet, even though they sound stupid to me, I can waste hour after hour playing them and enjoy every minute. I just bought that construction sim and I spent a good half-hour racing around town in a dump truck with a load of dirt. I wasted another forty-five or so minutes moving dirt around with an excavator, for no reason other than because I was able to. The place I got the construction sim from has other games that are really tempting me. For some reason, the one that I want to play the most is one that takes place in an open-pit mine/gravel pit. One last thing, I kinda suck at running the crane.

I worded my post poorly. What I meant was that Buildcraft pipes drop stuff at chunk borders if the chunk is unloaded, at least they do in my experience. We had a long line of pipes and items would only be transported about halfway before they fell on the ground unless someone was running along the pipes. I assume this is because the chunk was unloaded as they worked fine when standing next to them.

If you want to get help from anyone on here you need to read the stickies (highlighted in PINK) and make sure that you follow directions for any fixes that apply to your problem. If you read the stickies and there is not a fix for your problem then make a post in either the singleplayer (Technic) or the multiplayer (Tekkit) BUG boards and follow the BUG reporting format. You should have posted this in one of those boards, look around a little bit next time. Posting stuff in the wrong section doesn't make the mods happy with you. Also, using the search feature will help you in locating that possible fix that Cheap Shot mentioned.

Did you leave your quarry running and was it connected to Buildcraft pipes? The quarry will continue to run after you log off but the pipes will not function when the chunk is unloaded. Blocks will be dropped on the ground causing a lot of lag in the area. Does the lag exist everywhere? When I had problems with a large amount of blocks on the ground, the lag only existed in a ~100 block radius of the spilled blocks. I would suggest looking around the quarry/pipes for a bunch of blocks on the ground. I would also suggest that you shut your quarries off until you identify the source of the lag, you don't want to make the problem worse if they turn out to be the cause.

Sorry for not responding, I have class Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays this term so I don't have much time on those days for anything but school. I also had the fan go out in my power supply so I couldn't use my computer for a couple days. I noticed that you had the following message and five other similar ones in your log. [buildCraft] Warning: Quarry at -2340,63,-104 has no saved world, using default. I was unable to find anything about this error but I do not have much time right now to look. I may not be able to help you resolve this problem, as I have not encountered this before and my research is not turning up any useful information. I do have an idea, it may not fix the problem though. Be sure to make backups of your worlds and configs before you try these steps. 1. Rename your world files to "world", "world_nether", and "world_the_end" For clarity; if your world is named "bobtown", you will see three folders, "bobtown", "bobtown_nether", and "bobtown_the_end". In this case, replace "bobtown" with "world" in the name of each folder. 2. Edit your server's config file. Change "level-name=<nameOfYourWorld>" to "level-name=world" My thinking with this is that perhaps something went wrong in your world's save and it is messing up the quarries you have. They must need to do something special with the world save. I am only guessing that "using default" means "world", which is the default name for a Minecraft world. I may have time later this week to do some more research on your problem but I am not sure. I would recommend looking your error messages up on Google, that is what I am doing to try and help you at this point and you may find something I have missed.

It's the Dev build, unless I am mistaken. It would make sense to me that they are starting it before all the major mods have updated. I mean, they are gonna be adding all the mods eventually, why not start with whatever is ready now?

My launcher crashes 4-5 seconds after joining a server
thebird replied to Staab's question in Tekkit Classic
Are you running the 64 bit version of Java 7? I saw two errors in your log but they shouldn't be stopping Minecraft from starting. Have you tried re-downloading? You may want to disable all the mods and see if the game starts, this will let you know if a mod is breaking it or not. -
Personally, if you listed the errors as completely as possible it would help me with identifying the cause of your crashes. I would like a little more clarification on two points though. Does the server crash, the client, or both? Please clearly indicate which one for me, as I am still uncertain if your server keeps running or if it crashes. The other thing is, you said you installed the fix for placing Buildcraft pipes next to EE items, do you still have Buildcraft pipes next to EE items? I am concerned that the fix may not be working correctly for you. Would you mind providing a link to where you got the fix? I remember reading about a fix on the forums here but last I read obsidian pipes still caused crashes. I just thought of one last thing that may be causing this, have any of your players left machinery like a quarry or a cobblestone generator running? I know that in my testing in the past I found that many machines did not work even though a chunk was force loaded by a chunk loading block. A particular problem was a cobblestone generator connected to an energy condenser. The energy condenser acted as a chest after everyone logged off and after it was full, the blocks would be dropped on top of it. This resulted in overflow errors on the client side. Recyclers from Industrialcraft 2 also do this after everyone has logged off. Without you telling me the exact errors you and your players are seeing I cannot provide better help. All I am doing at this point is guessing.
-
I don't know if there is a current list, I remember seeing a list like two months ago (on Google Docs I believe). In any case, all of the block IDs are listed in the config files. It wouldn't take long at all to find the ones you need. You would have been done already if you had just checked the configs instead of asking here. :)
-
So, no errors show in the logs of the server? How about on the client side? I don't quite understand what you are saying, does the server crash or do the players just disconnect but the server still runs? Perhaps some of both? What was happening in the world when the server started crashing?

Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net?
thebird replied to ZombieGenocide's question in Technic Launcher
More information is required in order for anyone to assist you. You should edit your post with the information that this thread tells you to get. If you need help getting version numbers and logs, look in this thread. Can you log onto the minecraft.net website? Can you log into vanilla Mincraft (without the launcher)? EDIT: Spelling error -
Why should anyone here spend any time helping you if you can't even take a couple of minutes to read the rules and make a decent post?

I like Techno, especially songs with bass. Not the really fast stuff though or stuff like what Infected Mushroom makes. Daft Punk, Benny Benassi, and Deadmau5 are my favorites. I also like listening to bands with female singers, listening to Fireflight right now. Sounds better in my car though, my headphones aren't all that fancy.

I gave them 15 bucks yesterday towards that game. It sounded interesting and $15 seems reasonable for something that may possibly not ever come out. Plus, if it does come out, I get a copy for that $15 instead of whatever the full price happens to be. I can't imagine giving more than like 30 bucks though, some people are crazy with their money.
