There is another thread in the forums with this exact same problem. Search for it and it will have how to revert back. Mac discontinued their Java support in 10.8 so you can't use Java7. I also haven't used a Mac, I just know how to fix it.
Well, let us view my statement as a whole shall we? Were the words noob, nubcakes, or Sir Noobalot in my statement anywhere? No, so obviously you are trying to find something that isn't there. Short answer, no.
Java 7 and Apple aren't playing nice right now anyway. Have you tried uninstalling java and doing a clean reinstall? Or you can try holding f3 and pressing s, that toggles the sounds.
No, not trying to find a solution and asking multiple irrelevant questions is the problem. You can't even tell us what version your OS is and yet you demand the other users of this forum fix your problem? You're going to get yourself precisely nadda if you keep going.
Copper cables are shit over long distances, they loose EU rapidly, replace them with glass fiber. Energy Links can handle MV power and they will run faster. Each machine will take 2 EU/t so if you have 16 machines more or less hooked up to that copper cable, your quarry won't get any power.
Any of them that could possibly create a "Block Placing or Block Removing" event. The big ones that come to mind are IC2, RedPower, and BuildCraft, but there may be more.
