OK, open up your device manager and under display adapters it should have it listed. Some cards will have an option to go to the settings when you right click on the desktop. I know at least Nvidia does.

I meant the people who hate technic / tekkit and just trash talk it using conjecture as their basis. More specifically, the people who I am referring to are on the IC2 forum blasting technic / tekkit when, I would be willing to bet large sums, they have never even tried it or have the proper knowledge to form a intelligent opinion. Hence, "they hate what they do not understand."

It is in the control panel for your graphics card and it should have an option to force it to use one or the other.

Force the program to run through the graphics card (there are instructions in another thread on how to do this). You could always lower the ingame settings or just lower the render distance as that eats alot of FPS, but if you set it to run through the card instead of the onboard, you should see an increase in FPS.

It's not always about the RAM with Minecraft, it doesn't use it very well. You may not know it, but it is likely running off of your integrated graphics chipset rather than your graphics card if you have one installed.

What about the graphics card? Is it set to run Java by default? I heard recently that it will try to use the onboard chipset if it isn't.

What is your Autosave timer set to? What is weird is that I had the problem up until that same time ago. I couldn't even use a texture pack and now I'm running an HD pack with no issues. Has anything system-wise changed with your computer maybe?

Do you have any teleport pipes or world anchors? Those cause some players to lag in and around the chunks they are in.

There is a file generated called lastlogin or something similar, if you delete that and then enter your info again, it may save both.

Not entirely true. You can have 8 Overclockers in a single running machine without it constantly starting and stopping.

Run it with that and see how it goes.

There is an option tab in the launcher, it allows you to choose what build you use and how much RAM to allocate.

Extra Biomes XL and any decent shader mod would be right up your alley then.

Blue is cold = slowest, Green is warming = slow, Yellow is normal = normal, Red is overheating = fastest (may explode). Steam and Combustion engines will eventually explode. Redstone won't as long as they have something to power.

They are just warming up and as long as the redstone engines have something to work or power, they won't overheat and explode.
