I believe he's a nuclear engineer, or studying to be one. Can't remember which thread it was that he said it in.

Probably in Nuclear Engineering : 101, where he literally gave us a formula about real reactors.

Speaking of real reactors, I live 50 miles from the largest nuclear power plant in the United States, the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.

xD

If you mean me, computer engineer :P

But nuclear engineer seems cool...

Honestly other than nuclear I don't see why a engineer would use a computer. Although he could be looking and using 3D models to see things, it would really have no point other than that.

Mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineers also need computers.

My math teacher used to be an aerospace engineer. She tells us all this shit about geometry and stuff.

Why not? The expected wattage is like 280, so why wouldn't a 300w PSU run it? (I am completely ignorant of how the inside of a computer works, I'm a software guy, not a hardware guy.)

Really? That doesn't sound right... how did you get that number?

It said in the part picker what the wattage would most likely be.

Even though part picker is handy and helpful, it isn't always accurate. If you want a real answer you would want to go to a computer shop or even to Best Buy to ask someone. Partpicker is third party so you never know what info your getting
