iv'e just been thinking and i have came up with a decent idea! plastic!

what it is used for:

insulating wires and making pipes waterproof.

replys are greatly appreciated, thanks.

I think it would be too expensive, just stick to rubber.

Rubber - Find Rubber Tree > make rubber tap using a small amount of wood > harvest rubber > cook > Insulate wires.

Plastic - Find oil deposit > make pump, waterproof pipes, power supply, tanks, buckets > collect oil and pump into tanks > transfer from tanks into buckets > cook > insulate wires.

Now, which one would you rather do? Something quick that requires 5 wooden planks, or something that requires plenty of materials and time.

Ever stop and think what the main ingredient is in construction foam?

Clay dust, coal dust, redstone and water, how is oil, or any of this suggestion related to CF?

...I see you missed the point of polystyrene in actual construction foam.

I apologise, I wasn't aware you were talking about actual construction foam, instead I thought you were talking about it in Minecraft.

but, construction foam IS in minecraft :)

seriously, its not needed for the 2 points of use you listed. And frankly, neither purpose makes sense to me. You insulate wire with rubber not plastic, especially HV and EV. And you use something malleable to waterproof piping, hence the cactus greens to waterproof putty not plastic.

what would be neat is maybe synthetic rope and rigging stuff that you could then use for like zip lines etc...

Wow! Shoving a bucket of oil in a furnace makes plastic? I guess you can make a Lego-on-the-floor security system, every time you step on a Lego you take one heart of damage.

Actually, plastic would be pretty sweet, and a nice use for all the fuckloads of oil you never use.

Plastic can be used to insulate wires, and would be perfectly adequte for pipe waterproofing. You could also use it as a glass substitute, and there's probably a bunch of other applications you could use plastic for.

My guess is he lost interest in updating it (or something along those lines), and (from what I've heard) he didn't allow anyone to continue updating it, so it died at 1.1
