Jorcer Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 EDIT: This is a great guide thanks for posting Quote
Jorcer Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 this isn't a let's play though. I didn't watch it so I wasn't sure. What is it? Isn't a lets play essentially a series of someone playing a video game? Quote
freakachu Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 it's what it says on the tin. 10 things you may not know about tekkit. that's literally all it is. some of it was pretty neat actually. Quote

Cool, I might take a look. (I shouldn't have judged before I commented ) The thing that threw me off was the Episode stuff. Quote

Hushful Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I had no idea that oil could be used to irrigate soil and grow reeds. It was a very informative video. Quote
Xylord Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I had no idea that oil could be used to irrigate soil and grow reeds. It was a very informative video. Me too, it actually threw me off. That was pretty interesting, thanks. Quote
Watchful11 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Me too, it actually threw me off. That was pretty interesting, thanks. It actually hurts endermen as well. Quote
GreenWolf13 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Sounds like oil uses the same mechanics as water, except for the fact that it can't be used to make infinite oil sources. It'd be interesting to look at the Buildcraft source code to see what other properties of water oil shares. Quote

The Merchant of Menace Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Not bad, although there was unfortunately nothing new to me in the vid :P Quote
MxJaded Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Thanks for the positive feedback guys, i just released episode 2 check it out! - i added it to the original post Quote
Watchful11 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Number 8 in episode 2 is incorrect. Mass fabricators, like other IC2 machines, can do a max of one operation per tick. Quote
MxJaded Posted October 8, 2012 Author Posted October 8, 2012 Number 8 in episode 2 is incorrect. Mass fabricators, like other IC2 machines, can do a max of one operation per tick. ooops, i read that on the tekkit wiki i think... weird, ill add an annotation thanks :) Quote
Techpriest Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Interesting... so oil must be a combination of water and lava. Quote
GreenWolf13 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Interesting... so oil must be a combination of water and lava. No silly, that makes obsidian. Oh, you were refering to the code. My bad. Quote
Techpriest Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 No silly, that makes obsidian. Oh, you were refering to the code. My bad. *Has an idea to make obsidian out of oil and water* *Tries an experiment with oil and water* *Doesn't make obsidian.* *Tries an experiment with oil and lava* *Doesn't make obsidian.* Why.. this doesn't make any... Did you actually try that in-game? Because that would be interesting to see if oil and lava made obsidian. Quote
Silent Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I'm pretty sure pouring oil in lava makes obsudian, good in the nether with a quarry (oils also good for farming in the nether) Quote
Jorcer Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Just tested, Flowing oil + Lava source = Obsidian Flowing Lava + Flowing Oil = Cobblestone Quote
