Modpacks Wont Launch

Can someone please help me, Everytime i try to play certain modpacks (Attack of the B-Team, Tekkit Classic ect,) I click "Play" and it says checking minecraft assets, and the game doesn't load up. I have already checked and i have 2GB ram, and Im on windows 10 running a 64 bit system. Please someone help!?

It turns out that using Java 7 negates this problem.

So i just download thats all, because it still didn't work  it says checking assets and then doesn't launch. Thanks for the help though.
