Not enough memory and how to allocate more memory to your minecraft

Can someone please give me a easy guide on how to allocate more memory to Modpacks??? Attack of the B-Team and another pack i play need a solid 2 Gig's to play with the performance able for youtube.... any suggestions?

Ensure you have 64 bit java NOT 32 bit, then click the cog in the top right of the launcher and you will have an option to allocate ram, change this to 2 or 3 Gb and all packs will be allocated that amount of RAM
