Minecraft Technic Not working..?

I decided to get Technic today since my school allows this . 

 

I went to go test it on my home PC and it gave me errors on the installation..

It kept trying to see the issue.

It kept saying: "Error downloading the pack: Vanilla

Failed to download "Link" 

Please consult the Mod pack author."

 

It keeps doing this.. It did give me issues on just installing the launcher but nothing more than that until I came  into that error.

 

(I am also new to the forums so please forgive for the noob stuff )
