Shadow65140 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) So, I made a new modpack: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/custom-modpack-for-acp.451124 and I tested it out, I was excited to see if my hard work paid off when im met with: Forge Mod Loader has found a problem with your minecraft installation You have mod sources that are duplicate within your system Mod Id: File name ForgeMicroblock: ForgeMultipart-universal-1.6.4-1.0.0.219.jar ForgeMicroblock: ForgeMultipart-1.7.10-1.1.0.297-universal.jar ForgeMultipart: ForgeMultipart-universal-1.6.4-1.0.0.219.jar ForgeMultipart:ForgeMultipart-1.7.10-1.1.0.297-universal.jar McMultipart:ForgeMultipart-universal-1.6.4-1.0.0.219.jar McMultipart:ForgeMultipart-1.7.10-1.1.0.297-universal.jar I'm not even going to try to understand what this says, but i'm guessing it has something to do with duplicate files, and the ones listed above are the ones. ANYWAY, I tried to search for them, but I could not find them. Even if I did, I wouldn't know what to do with them. Any help is MUCH appreciated, as I cannot wait to try the pack out with my friends. Cheers! Edited August 11, 2014 by Shadow65140
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted August 11, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted August 11, 2014 Forge Multipart is one of those mods which get downloaded automatically by the pack (deploaded) when requested by other mods which require it. In your case, you have built a 1.6.4 pack but included the 1.7.10 version of Mekanism. You must use matched versions of Forge, mods, and all dependencies. Additionally, Things like Forge Multipart should be manually added to your modpack archive so that it doesn't have to be downloaded automatically and you can specifically include newer versions than the ones requested by the mods. The Forge Multipart mod belongs in the mods1.6.4 folder (for a 1.6.4 pack... I am sure you can figure out the pattern).
Shadow65140 Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) so, should I manually MAKE the 1.6.4 folder, then add ForgeMultipart? EDIT: I did what i asked and it worked! But now, it says minecraft cant find any version of Mekanism! edit #2: I also downloaded the latest legacy version of Mekanism. Edited August 11, 2014 by Shadow65140
JagSwag2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 so, should I manually MAKE the 1.6.4 folder, then add ForgeMultipart? You do not have to, it is generated automatically upon first startup. But in this case, it seems it is trying to read the mods from two separate versions of Minecraft. If you're using 1.6.4, you will need to get rid of the 1.7.10 folder so it will not duplicate, or vice versa.
Shadow65140 Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 Thanks for the help, problem is fixed, but now it says it cant find any version of Mekanism, when i have Mekanism version 6.0.5.46. Why's it doing that?
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted August 11, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted August 11, 2014 Your Mekanism files are broken. Download them again: http://ci.indiewikis.com:8080/job/Mekanism/46/
Shadow65140 Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 THANK YOU!!! Thank you thank you thank you for all the help!!! i got it working, and cant wait to play with my friends!
