i need help, my skin is stuck as a girl

So i noticed both tekkit and FTB have this issue, but normal unmodded minecraft via the new minecraft launcher does not.

 

i log into either tekkit or feed the beast and my skin shows up as a female poorly textured....  now i log onto my minecraft i got from the minecraft website and i get my halo odst outfit.

 

i use the same account for all 3.. since i only have 1 account.  the only difference is 1.6.4 which i play on for  the  two modpacks [pokemon via tekkit]  and techworld via ftb. 

 

the normal minecraft is 1.7.10..  this matter is frustating me.. my password is secured, and my email is secured. i change skins just fine to show up in the regular nonmod minecraft.  but only tekkit and ftb alters my skin...

 

 

anyone else have had this happen if so, any ideas what i need to do to fix it?

Do you use resource packs that may change the basic skin of the player character?

It may somehow interfere with the skin system. I don't know.

They (Mojang) released a new skin named "Alex" - you can find more info @ https://mojang.com/2014/08/minecraft-1-8-pre-release-the-bountiful-update/

 

 

Edit: This skin is assigned randomly (along with the 3 pixel wide model atm in the 1.8 snapshots) to users, based on something or other internally.
