That's pretty nice, hoho. But the one in the OP is still preferable. Overclockable i7, beasty sound card, slightly better GPU. However yours does have twice the RAM. But where I'm going, I don't need minecraft. Building it by myself could be the way to go, but I'm still not particularly wanting to do the whole rigged price comparison thing for 6 hours straight.

Consider yourself in, just by showing up at some time. Please do what vidplace7 requested, and get yourself registered on the server. Builders, start getting your thinking hats on, and start experimenting. We've got a town to build. And then blow up. It needs to look quite rural, and have a large hall or church. Ideas and screenshots will help your comrades in construction.

Before I download this (not that I wouldn't anyways) what kind of compatibility does this have with Redpower? I understand it was enormously messy for Eloraam to get the half blocks working, but did she include mod compatibility?

Just to head the word up, there is no hacked client that supports Tekkit SMP. And agreed. Just because people use hacked clients for vanilla, doesn't mean they are scum. The griefers and bot spammers experienced by so many of us over here are actually just accounts stolen from stoopid 12 year olds. I'll be taking no further questions.

SDK's stuph relies on ModLoaderMP, which is scary and hates Forge. Mainly because SDK hasn't touched it since 1.7.3

I've said it too many times, but Minecraft's modding community has unwittingly turned into a pissing contest. Every modder has at least some form of a desire to be known for what they do, and no matter how much of a philanthropist they seem, will protect their work in order to still be recognised in the community. Ad.fly is becoming less of a problem, but over protectiveness is still very much prevalent. I have no quarrels with modders wanting ownership of their intellectual property as a matter of principle, but the Minecraft community is becoming a battleground for attention. If the modding community doesn't get along, it will become stale due to lack of new development, and Minecraft will die. There comes a point when modders have real life catch up to them. But no batons will be passed on in our current state, as the Thought Police will have had every new modder taken out and shot. Go and have a look at FutureCraft as a prime example. No new updates for a totally independent and brilliantly programmed mod. But the outcry that he was 'ripping off Buildcraft, IndustrialCraft AND RedPower' forced him to curl up and throw away all of his ideas. The modding community will spell the end of Minecraft. My fear is that nothing will come to replace it fast enough.

Even though you and I have both complained about how damn hard it is to create vertices in Java? It's why I haven't started modding, I don't have the knowledge to do what I want :/ Nor do I particularly want to. I envision Minecraft having less than 18 months left.

Good to see that. It's like he's damn near running an entirely new engine in minecraft. If it was in C++, we'd probably be talking about him more than Eloraam and FC combined. Although on that note, what happened to the C++ conversion project? I was totally nerdgasming over that. The stuff I could've done over there... would've been the truly ultimate sandbox.

Oh, be quiet, you. It's complicated because it's completely separate from the world grid (utterly inspired), but still has compatibility and functionality with so many other mods. It's messy, but it's GOOOOOOOOD. And it's as clean as it can be. Screw whatever everyone else has done, if this guy pulls this off in SMP on his own, he'll be the ultimate modder in my books.
