Yeah, the mod switched the case of the config file from 1.5.2. Should be resolved in the next update.
-
Server is updated as well. http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/tekkitmain/Tekkit_Server_v1.2.1.zip

You're not the only one to mention this; I'm going to update most of the current mods to their latest release versions, and look into Big Reactors and a few other mods as well.
-
They'll be updated over the next little while. I needed to pick a stationary target to do some pre-test testing against, and that happened to be the mod selection at that point in time.
-
Thanks for the report. Compatibility with current 1.1.10 worlds appears limited at the moment; please create a fresh save for testing the current build.

Tekkit is now well into its 1.6.4 beta. As with all betas, it is crucial that you back up your worlds before upgrading, lest your hard work be lost forever. You can help test this version by selecting "Always use latest builds" or "Manually select a build" under the Tekkit modpack options. There are no earth-shattering changes in this first 1.6.4 build, it's generally a mod-for-mod upgrade from 1.5.2, but a few things to be aware of: SCT's Simple Power Storage mod is no more; the tiered storage available with Thermal Expansion 3 render this mod unnecessary. An Obsidian Plate has been replaced with ObsidiPlates; any existing obsidian plates will have vanished. Modular Power Suits Addons is no more, as the mod will not be seeing a 1.6.4 update. Omnitools mod is gone, having been rolled into the CoFH mods. Please report any issues with this BETA release in this thread! Launcher spawns THOUSANDS of "attrib.exe" processes
Skuli replied to Skuli's question in Technic Launcher
They fixed it. Launcher behaves much nicer now. -
Do you know the difference between the internet and your local PC?

Launcher Version: Build 222 Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Java Version: Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_07-b10) Antivirus Program: Antivirus is for pussies Description of Problem: Downloading a modpack causes my system to be crushed by up to 3000 "attrib.exe" processes. Each attrib.exe consumes around 600 to 800k of ram, which means my poor system is destroyed by 2gb of memory usage and maxxed CPU usage for like 30 minutes. It seems to be MUCH worse for modpacks with more files. Error Messages: None. General system slowness. Error Log: Coming shortly...

I have an important announcement regarding 1.4.7 and The Mining Dead. The Tekkit Lite modpack is an excellent modpack, but currently has no Bukkit support except via third-party plugins like MCPC+ and BukkitForge. Because of this, and the fact that these Bukkit bridges are extremely beta, I have not been able to provide a satisfactory 1.4.7 replacement for the current Tekkit Classic server. I have, however, continued development on the basic ruleset and system, and have deployed these systems to a non-Tekkit (Bukkit 1.4.7) zombie survival server. It doesn't have the advanced machines that Tekkit players love, but it DOES have plenty of mayhem, pvp, and zombie carnage! This server is LIVE, and available via any 1.4.7 client (Including Tekkit Lite) at: zapoc.mossycobble.com:25566 For a quick overview of the changes: * The /spawn and /home commands have a variable FOOD COST * Towny is NOW available at 1,000 zombie kills * Nations will be available at 15,000 zombie kills * Towny costs have been HUGELY increased; $2500 to create, $25/day PER PLOT town tax rate. * /town spawn costs $100 currently. * Water and Dirt now spawn in the ground and must be mined. The spawn rate is excruciatingly low. Spawn rate is somewhat higher the farther you are from spawn. * To exit spawn, you must /help newplayer. Ideally, that would mean reading the basic tutorial. * Asking a question that is covered by /help newplayer is POTENTIALLY a bannable offense. * Mob will spawn more frequently, in higher light levels, and closer to players the farther you are from spawn. * There are no more mineshafts. * The Hive remains. You can access it from the server spawn. * There will be a donation system soon.

Great internet warrior, I dub thee NutsackBrony. Go forth and pursue your mighty internet crusade against proper punctuation, and may God smile upon your endeavors!

Yawn. Doesn't MoCreatures already have like three mobs that do this?
-
Logical phallus-y, amirite.

YOU'RE NOT MY REAL DAD. MY REAL DAD IS A FAMOUS ACTOR, NOT SOME RAGING INTERNET TOUGHGUY WHO IS MAD BECAUSE TEKKIT TOUCHED HIS NAUGHTY PLACE YESTERDAY IN THE HIGHSCHOOL LOCKER ROOM.

http://pastie.org/6099792 This will permanently disable RP2 volcano creation in new chunks. If you are not smart enough to follow these directions yourself, find someone who is and ask them for help. How to remove volcano generation PERMANENTLY from Redpower2 pr6: This ONLY needs to be done server-side for SMP players, but will need to be done locally for SSP/CSP players. You will need the binary patch app bsdiff/bspatch for this. Centos: "yum install bsdiff" Ubuntu: Should be installed by default, but "sudo apt-get install bsdiff" Windows: I don't know. Google it. Download this binary patch file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g2ne1m5pxljbyu6/RemoveRP2Volcanos.patch Download and install all RP2 zip/jar files you want to use. Create a patched RedPowerMechanical-2.0pr6.zip: Ubuntu: "bspatch RedPowerMechanical-2.0pr6.zip RedPowerMechanical-2.0pr6_NOVOLCANOS.zip RemoveRP2Volcanos.patch" "rm RedPowerMechanical-2.0pr6.zip" Windows: No idea. I don't use windows. Delete the meta-inf folder from each of the remaining Redpower zip files. Enjoy your complete and total lack of Redpower2 volcanos. You WILL no longer have access to Basalt, so bear that in mind.

Frankly, anyone who posts stupidity like this would be incapable of comprehending my well-reasoned, nuanced arguments. So, instead, you'll just be something I use for amusement today whilst avoiding any actual work.
