I'll update the 3.1.1 post, but you'll need to click the small gear under the Voltz modpack listing, select "Manually select a build" and then pick the previous recommended version, which was 2.0.4 I believe.

Stay tuned for Hexxit news...

The newest update for Voltz, 3.1.1, will be promoted to RECOMMENDED this afternoon. Sadly, this is almost certainly going to necessitate a COMPLETE WIPE of your existing Voltz worlds! TAKE BACKUPS BEFORE YOU UPGRADE! Calclavia has provided a new list of mods to include in this Voltz release. Please note that Mekanism has been removed from the pack. However, many mods have been added: Buildcraft, Extra Utilities, Forestry, Galacticraft, Mad Science, OpenComponents, Open Computers, Project Red, Railcraft, and Thermal Expansion (among others.) Also, the existing Calclavia mods have seen many exciting changes! Please note there is a hard Java 7 requirement on this pack. If you get an error NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/ReflectiveOperationException then you're not running Java 7. See >this Technic post for information on how to upgrade to Java 7. Help test the next generation of Voltz, 3.1.2 beta!
Skuli replied to Skuli's topic in Voltz Discussion
I still need crash reports for issues with the beta. -
The newest update for Voltz, 3.1.2 beta, is going live shortly. Calclavia has provided a new list of mods to include, and many to remove, in this Voltz beta. The amount of work spent on the Calclavia mods, Madscience, and others in this pack has been staggering! The highlights are a greatly improved Resonant Induction (now with bundled Atomic Science), and the removal of all Reika mods. Sadly, this is almost certainly going to necessitate a COMPLETE WIPE of your existing 3.0.0c worlds! There is a hard Java 7 requirement on this pack. If you get an error NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/ReflectiveOperationException then you're not running Java 7. See the following Technic post for information on how to upgrade to Java 7: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> The server is available here. The new/updated mods with the 3.1.2 release are: - MobiusCore updated to a cauldron-compatible v1.2.2 - Fixed turrets not targetting mobs The Voltz 3.1.0 complete list of mods: - Additional Pipes v2.6.0-BC4.2.1 - Applied Energistics rev14 finale3 - Armor Status Hud v1.15 - Autoutils 1.0.1 - BSpkrsCore 5.3 - Buildcraft 4.2.2 - ChickenChunks 1.3.3.3 - Chisel v1.5.0fix - codechickencore v0.9.0.7 - CoFHCore v2.0.0.5 - ComeCloser v0.3.1.5 - Custom Branding v1.0 - Ender Tanks v1.7d - Extreme Vanilla Optimizations v1.0.0a - ExtraBiomesXL v3.15.7 - ExtraCells v1.6.9d - ExtraUtilities v1.0.3c - Forestry v2.3.1.1 - Jammys Furniture Mod v3.2.9.2 - Galacticraft v2.0.13 - ICBM v1.4.2.246 - InventoryTweaks v1.56-b77 - Iron Chests v5.4.1.702 - Mad Science v1.00.166 - Minechem v5.0.5-rc1 - Minefactory Reloaded v2.7.9 - Mobius Core v1.2.1 - MFFS v3.6.3.91 - Modular Power Suits v0.10.0-91 - NEI Addons v1.10.4.64 - NEI Plugins v1.1.0.6 - notenoughcodecs v0.1 - notenoughitems v1.6.1.8 - NoVoid v1.6.4 - Numina v0.1.2-55 - openblocks v1.2.8 - opencomponents v0.1.1.44 - opencomputers v1.2.12.379 - openeye v0.5 - Open Mods Lib v0.5.1 - Opis v1.2.2 - powerconverters v2.4.0.18 - powercrystalscore v1.1.8-9 - powersuitaddons v884 - ProjectRed build 19 - Railcraft v8.4.0.0 - Resonant Induction v0.3.1.332 - shetiphiancore v1 - slick-util - Smooth Bedrock v1.0.9 - Thermal Expansion v3.0.0.7 - Treecapitator vR09 - Universal Electricity v3.1.0.114 - VoxelMods - Waila v1.5.2a - WR-CBE v1.4.0.6 - zansminimap v1.6.4 There is NO UPGRADE PATH from previous 3.0.0 betas! Compatibility with the 1.5.2 Voltz pack is currently undetermined but expected to be extremely low, so don't expect to be importing previous worlds either. Please report issues with the beta in this thread.

Voltz beta v3.0.0c going live, many bugfixes included!
Skuli replied to Skuli's topic in Voltz Discussion
OK folks, starting up a new topic. Calclavia has provided a new list of mods, huge changes are ahead. -
Also, Computercraft 1.6 support IS hopefully coming for the pack, it seems like everything has finally updated.
-
I've already been checking it out, if you're the same guy from '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> And it appears you are.

I'm releasing a (relatively) minor update to Tekkit today. The following mods were added or updated: - Galacticraft to build 1063 - Big Reactors to 3.3a - Thermal Expansion to 3.0.0.7 - OpenEye 0.5 has been added It's generally minor bugfixes for BigReactors and Thermal Expansion, but Galacticraft update addresses some significant crash issues with tesseracts. As always, back up your current world/server before upgrading! To use this version, configure the Tekkit pack to either always use latest builds or to manually select the 1.2.10 build. The server is available here. * Important notice: You will almost certainly see many item id conflicts after you update your server, or when you first load an old world. This is normal because Galacticraft renamed almost all of its items internally, and should have NO impact on your save. Back up anyway! * For existing servers, the new Galacticraft, Galacticraft-planets, Micdoodle core, Thermal Expansion, and OpenEye mod files should replace the corresponding older files in your current folder. Also, please copy the OpenEye.json into your config folder so that any crash reports generated from Tekkit can properly be aggregated!

Tekkit 1.2.9e has been promoted to RECOMMENDED. The forum post for 1.2.9d is >here. The server for 1.2.9e is available here. This update only includes a fix for request pipe crashes. Please verify your launcher is set to always use recommended build to upgrade to this version. New and updated mods in this release: - Logistics Pipes v0.7.4.dev.205 You will see alerts about mismatched and/or missing items when you load a world or start your server; this is unavoidable and should have no impact on in-game structures and builds, although taking a backup is HIGHLY recommended.
-
Please help test this build out. Select "Always use latest builds" or "Manually select a build" in your pack options to upgrade to this version. This should resolve the client/world crashes when placing request pipes that began with 1.2.9d. The only updated mod is Logistics Pipes, to version 205. You will see a warning about itemid mismatches when upgrading to this build, that's perfectly normal and should have no impact on your builds.

The development builds of Openperipheral are Computercraft 1.6 compatible, but those are still not recommended, so we're on 1.58 for now.
-
Waila needs to be added to server, it appears. I'll add that to the existing server zip today, go ahead and copy the waila file over to the server for now and verify it fixes the issue...
-
That is pretty odd. I'll take a look, there are some config options and keymappings I need to fix for this version anyway.
-
Try the latest Tekkit beta build please.

This fixes a Java 1.7 requirement from Ender Storage by reverting all CodeChicken mods to their previous Java 1.6-compatible versions. This should have no impact on your existing games, but as always BACK UP YOUR SAVES. The server is available for download here. For server owners needing to upgrade, simply replace the previous versions of the following files with the versions included in the server zip: - ChickenChunks 1.3.3.3.jar - codechickencore 0.9.0.7.jar - EnderStorage 1.4.3.5.jar - notenoughitems 1.6.1.8.jar - WR-CBE 1.4.0.6.jar
-
Mostly, it's a matter of support and user perception. If Java said "This application requires Java 1.7 or higher, click here to install the newest version!" that would be one thing, but it doesn't. It says "Unsupported major/minor revision" on like 567 of a 1,234 line error message. This is confusing to the end user, who just wants to play Tekkit. A LOT of people are on un-upgraded Macs that can't use Java 1.7. A lot of people are on older Windows PCs and/or aren't PC-competent enough to upgrade java themselves. And there's no good reason NOT to support Java 1.6 if we can.
