  1. A bit of that, but I always try to say what I think will happen, instead of telling people what to do. You're right, though.
  2. I have the feeling you're going to get some help...off the forums, probably temporarily but you never know with these mods, for posting a crap bug report, about a common error, when the stickies and the search bar are inches away from the Make New Topic button.
  3. 1) Try the texture pack section. There is one now. 2) The same way you'd make an unmodded Minecraft texture pack. 3) No, no permission required as far as I know.
  4. Yes, yes we did. I'm getting this back-seat-mod vibe from you, though, that I'm not sure the actual mods would appreciate.
  5. This is not a little problem - it's a game-breaking one. Fortunately, there is a quick and easy fix. Unfortunately for you, you failed to either look for the fix or RTFS. Or post your own thread. Or use the bug report format. Or post in the right section. *Edit: Or restrict your posts to one for the same error. And being a forum newbie is not an excuse, as you've been here a while. Not that it ever was one.
  6. Why, oh why, can't I find a picture of a pinkish cartoon-style circuit board when I need one? Also, the rule is "No thoughtless posts." Clearly, you put some thought into this post. However, you're not really contributing anything to the forums unless you also make some topical posts after introducing yourself. Finally, an introduction does nothing if you don't tell us about yourself, including some relevant skills, experiences, or other data that might make you a member of the community. What am I agreeing with by posting in this thread? *Edit: This ^ is what I get for taking too long to type my post. Ninja posted not once or twice, but 3 times.
  7. I would guess you need 32-bit Java 7, but without a proper bug report, it's difficult to say. (Hint hint) No, putting it in the YogBox Bug Board won't help.
  8. I would definitely: 1) Post a proper bug report. The OP is close. It just needs a complete error log (unless that's it, then you're good) and a launcher/modpack version. Fierysheep, you're not close. You have a different OS and may have different versions of the launcher, modpack, or Java. 2) Post error logs in [ code ] (without spaces) tags - spoiler doesn't work on the Technic Forums. 3) Try reinstalling (back up your worlds/waypoints/etc. by deleting your modpack or techniclauncher folder and re-downloading, or just getting a ModLoader.cfg from someone else.
  9. What...I don't understa...*fizzle* *pop*...t you'r...*crackle*...ying, can you po...*snap*...ome DETAIL?! *Translation: Read the stickies, come back and try again.
  10. Wait, so you either loaded a world that said it needed to be converted, or answered yes when it asked to convert your world? Didn't that seem odd to you?
  11. It...doesn't do this. You have to change it to dev build. Period.
  12. The launcher (and as far as I know it has done this since it was created) replaces the minecraft.jar in the .minecraft\bin folder with a modpack.jar every time you run it. This allows you to run unmodded Minecraft any time you want, to make modifications to an individual modpack.jar for gameplay reasons (Optifine versions, for example), and to run multiple different modpacks without reinstalling or changing Minecraft every time. I'm not sure how you ran the Technic Launcher without a .minecraft folder, but I don't think it should have been possible.
  13. More info, server logs, error logs, Java/OS/Launcher/Modpack versions of clients/server, anything useful?
  14. Read The Stickies.
  15. I'm going to reply just to say: RTFS.
  16. Negative. This is server side, and unfortunately it may have to wait until Tekkit 3 to get fixed. I have the same issue, and it means piping around with the advanced machines sometimes breaks.
  17. Look around. Do you see anyone with similar errors? Okay, now try the same solution: rename the EE mod file with a 'z' at the beginning to get it to load last. Come back and let us know if that worked. Also, Ubuntu? You may be on your own when it comes to troubleshooting anything on a Linux distro.
  18. I read just fine, you didn't mention a restore point, I get it, you're mad, but take it as an opportunity to write them better this time. You're not doing yourself any favors getting pissed at someone else because you failed to make backups.
  19. Yeah, he's still using Java 6, which will cause problems trying to connect to a Tekkit server that's running mods which require 7. Have him update and redirect his path and shortcuts if needed.
  20. That wasn't clarifying - that was restating exactly what you said in the OP. You need a .minecraft folder - it's supposed to be there. If you don't have one in your Roaming folder, you may not have Minecraft installed, which will prevent you from using the Technic Launcher. Therefore, the launcher helpfully downloads Minecraft (which isn't very big) for you. Obviously your login works, so you're not using a pirated copy. My question is: what happened to your original .minecraft folder?
  21. Windows 7 likes to make backups of previous versions of things, depending on your settings and how recently you did the work and when it was deleted, you might be able to use that feature to get it back.
  22. There's also a Prevention Fix for this.
  23. FTFY. We need an error message or log.
  24. Perhaps the Art or LP section?
  25. Yes. Any BuildCraft item can be used to grief. How do you know it was griefing again? Also, I hope you have world backups.
