Laser Drill only takes 200 Mj/tic to max out so it aint that hard. Since they can run 24/7 if you have an automated powerplant one is enough in the long run. But if you are short on ores just put up some more if you have the power. No need to put in laser focus since they just increase the chance for a certain ore to be created. Better to focus on maxing out a drill instead and you will have endless of ores.

Killing Slimes from auto-spawner is the best way as I know it, atleast for tekkit 1.0.6. Havent tryed it on Tekkit 1.1.8 or higher. The first slime that spawns have a reduced chance of dropping but the others smaller ones that the larger slime creates when it dies seems to have normal drop rate. Still you have to mele kill them yourself since thats is the only way for them to drop.

My bad, never questioned the Openblock mod since I havent gone in deepth with it. Was just pointint out that the tank problem most likely will be fixed when tekkit goes 1.6 or higher.

I'm guessing that next Tekkit will be for 1.6 or 1.7 so that should include BC's flood gate. That will allow you to build your own storage area and fill it with liquid of your own choice.

As some may have noticed I am a big fan of the BC mod. For me BC is the real reason why I love Tekkit so much since its a mod that more or less works with all the others mod in the game and let you build the solutions instead of use some mods that more or less is just about config to get it to work. Here are some images from some of my builds. http://imgur.com/a/Cz72D The three first images are from my ongoing project that lets you choose what you whant to build and how many and the Cyclic Assembler will build them. I use Computers, rednet cables to controll BC switches so the build material ends up at the right CA and computers to control the pulls from the storage chests. It was some tricky to get it to work since I must use timed pulls from the chests since singel pulls with gates are broken. The next four images are from my BioFuel powerplant and for this I use turtles, TE and BC. The first pic of them are chests that my turtles gets the sapplings/seeds and those chests autmaticly refills themselves from the main storage on the second picture of the four. The third picture are from the BioReactors that controlls by gates. When they need sapplings/seeds they will start the four turtles that resupplys them. The fourth picture are from the Biofuel generator room. As for now Im pretty busy with the buildfactory but pls send me some suggestion on buildproject I can take on in the future.

Redstone Engine are now a early game only since autartic gate makes them absolete in midgame and later.

Spot on. ME oversimplifyes to much and totaly removes the problemsolving part. Everything you can do with ME you can solve with BC + other mods but it takes some thinking. So yes, if you just whant things to work then go ME but if you like problemsolving then go BC. Tekkit isn't just about to get things to work for many ppl. With the next big Tekkit upgrade I realy hope that Steve's Cart's cart anchor are fixed so I can start to mix in that mod in my builds. -

I build everything in buildcraft. Buildcraft are a very powerfull mod in tekkit but it takes more thinking to get things fully autmated then using ME. If you just wanna get things to work then ME are a good mod to use but if you like problem solving then BC is the mod you should build around. -
Hook up a waterproof pipe followed by a waterproof void pipe and it will drain the reactor of toxicity.

haha Rockwool should be removed or be be used in creating heatsink for powerarmor or somethinfg like that.

Maybe put the turtle on hold for awhile and start to get the basic thing working first. Start mining and exploring some so you get some build material first or play on a creative map so you can create the things you need.

Just put a label on the turtel and all programs will remain when you breake the turtle. But still backup all programs to a disk since there is a chance that an active turtle will be reseted into an new created normal turtleif the server crash or is rebooting. So that means you have lost all programs in it and the tool if you had on on it. But what you said about "startup" from a diskdrive sounds intresting. Is it a program I have to program and name it to startup or is it a buildin program in turles?

Have missed that completly that all ore but gold have a 10% chance to generate an aditional pulverized dust in another metal when running them throu a pulverizer. But still I would recommand to use Induction Smelter in early game since you get Rich Slag that you can choose to use on an ore to get one extra of the same but in later game when you start to autmate smelting you should pulverize all but gold. Edit: Hmmm Rich slag just have 5% chance to ge generated and pulverizer gives 10% chance to generate so it seems that pulverizer > IS even in early gameso pulverize all but gold.

you pulverize iron ingot and not the ore. But if you have a laser drill then put nether iron ore in a DSU and pull ore from that when you need pulverized iron for making Invar.

press F6 and check your chunk loader that it cover the whole biofuel system. If you have a powerdrain it should drain all the time and not only when you are offline. Since you have a offline problem Im betting on a bad placed/configed chunkloader.

Dont pulverize ore, smelt them with sand using induction smelter. Smelting ore with IS gives you a 5% chance for rich slag. Rich slag + ore in IS gives you 3 ingots from one ore. The only ore from over world you are supose to run throu a pulverizer are Ferrous ore cause that gives you a 10% chance to get a pulverized shiney metal.

I have a buffert chest between planter and harvester. I control the sappling pulls from the chest to planter with gates. If the buffert chest gets full I have a gate that pulls out sapplings untill I have one free spot in the chest and those sapplings goes to the storage chest. My sappling farm only runs when there is free space in the storage chest. With that I have zero loss with sapplings. -
Item router do exist in Tekkit. But then is it the same one you talk about?

you can use many sealers to seal a larger room but still they are still buggy I wouldnt recommand using them. We almost lost the moon because of sealers. They can cause a crash problem and will instantly crash the server as soon anyone are are close enough to active the chunk where the buggy sealer are on. If you still wanna use sealers build in glass blocks so you can reconfig them not count as airtight if you get the crash bugg. That will cause the sealer not to try and seal the room and you can remove them again without having to delete the moon.

Even if Atomic sience are rebalanced it still doesnt solve the problem that its to easy to get alot of power. Im using biofuel and have a powerplant producing 4464 MJ/tic and that is way more then I ever gonna need. I still think a better way to aproach the problem is just to increase the power needed for each machine. But for ppl who just started playint tekkit its enough hard as it is now to get a working power system but when you have played awhile it get realy unbalanced. Thats why I wanna se a difficult setting between 1-5 that increases the power consumption or something like that.

Am I the only one who thinks its to easy to create power so the supply and demand of power are very unbalanced? I dont know if it possible but if it is I think you should add the possibility to set the difficult setting between 1-5 where 1 are standard config and 2-5 increases the amount of power each machine needs. As it is now quarry needs average 60MJ/tic to run att full speed. Laser drill needs 400 MJ/tic to run at full speed and each of the other machine doesnt require that much MJ. With a quarry it doesnt take that many runns before you start to have alot of stored ore and with Laser drill at full speed you get one ore each 25 sec and that is way to op since you dont even ruin the world to get the ore and it can be on non stop creating ores out of nothing. So with higher need of power to run quarry and Laserdrill at full speed will increasethe time to aquire ore and that will increase the time it takes to get to late game. As it is now it doesnt take many days since you can easy get a quarry run at full speed. If the power need for atleast quarry and Laser but also for other machines increases with higher difficult setting it would put back some challange creating a balance between supply and demand for the machine park and the powerplant and at level 5 would be nice that the balance are so tight you must struggle with your machine park vs powerplant to get it to work. Yes I know you can build alot of powerplants to get around it but I think those ppl will stay on level 1 anyway.

You can manually put stuff in them but gates and BC pipes cant detect them so gates says CA are full when CA are full but those last three storage spots and BC pipes will toss out things on the ground. You dont need a new mod to make things complicated. Just build everything around BC and you will get complicated. Am atm building a autmated production facility with BC, Rednet, TE's Cyclic Assembler and Computercraft. Just type in what you wanna build and the quantity in a computer and it will automatic be buildt. Am in an early stage but as far as I can see its possible to add all recipe. When its done its gonna be MC version of ENIAC :P
